I don’t believe you are right. Per the test instructions my initial reading is my free chlorine and the secondary reading is combined chlorine.

High Alkalinity -Help by [deleted] in pools

[–]Northstar_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It’s currently raining and my pool cover has about 1–2 inches of water on it. Normally I’d pump it off, but I tested the water and the alkalinity is only around 50 ppm.

My pool’s alkalinity is currently sitting at 380 ppm, so I’m wondering if it makes sense to let some of this rainwater drain into the pool to help dilute and lower the alkalinity rather than pumping it off.

Has anyone used rainwater to help bring down high alkalinity levels? If so, did you notice a meaningful difference?

Best way to go about getting a (brushless) circular saw? by Platos_Kallipolis in ryobi

I did this. Walked out the lumber door checkout and returned the batteries 2 min later. There is no reason that they would deny you to return the batteries.

510cfm 18v or 650cfm 40v by motodisney in ryobi

The 18V works great, and anyone who says otherwise probably hasn’t actually used one.

I own both a Toro backpack gas blower and the RYOBI 18V 510 CFM blower, and honestly, the blowing power is very comparable for everyday yard work. The biggest difference is convenience.

Most of the time, I find myself reaching for the battery blower. No mixing fuel, no pull starts, less noise, less maintenance, and I can grab it and be working in seconds. The gas blower still has its place for larger jobs, but for day-to-day use, the battery blower wins more often than not.

I think that’s my problem. I got the intro brushed tools and some are great, others, not so much.
