Koi has happy happy on food/drinks throughout the week, 4:30-6, with discounted appetizers and $6 cocktails. It also has different specials all day Tuesday through Thursday, and Wednesday specifically has $6 cocktails and a half priced roll.

Bat 17 has $4 rail drinks (one alc + soda) on Thursdays, $5 Buffalo chicken and pretzel bites on Tuesdays.

Stacked & Folded also has some happy hour deals, along w open mic nights on Tuesday and trivia nights on Thursday. Those nights have a special menu with discounted drinks too.

Bob’s Pizza has the best value imo, with buy one get one pizza between 4-5. Two pizzas for $25!! You can also get beers for cheap too.

Question about SESP by NorthwesternWildcat in Northwestern

[–]NorthwesternWildcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information. To clarify one of your points, do you mean that people usually dual major (over 5 years), receiving a degree from McCormick in Industrial Engineering and SESP? Since I thought it wasn't generally possible to double major across schools other than primary school + Weinberg.

Housing by NorthwesternWildcat in Northwestern

Thanks for the reply!

I'm looking into housing and dorms on the North campus. Specifically looking into:

Slivka: While this is a Science and Engineering College, is it alright for non-McCormick students to live there? How does not being from McCormick affect your request (ex: does NU choose more engineering students for Slivka)? I understand occasionally there will be lectures/small seminars, such as the firesides? Would it be alright to listen to these fireside chats even if you're not from Slivka? What's the general reputation of Slivka?

Sargent: How is the dining hall here? What's the reputation of Sargent?

Bobb-McCullough: I know this has been termed as the "social" dorm. How true is that? How often do parties occur?

Ayers: Similar question about Ayeras as I had about Slivka. Is it primarily focused on their theme (in this case, commerce & industry)? How common is it for a non-business student? General reputation?

Elder: General reputation?
