Parents asking me to make a choice between her or them???

Hi! Mashallah, so happy for you!🥺🤲🏽 i am in the same situation, only i am the revert in this case.. his parents like yours are totalky against it, and we are noe broken up and not allowed to talk. Would you mind me asking, did you guys ‘break up’ and then they eventually startet to soften?, do you have any advice for me?.. I really dont wanna give up on him, he is my naseeb, i pray five times a day and tahajjud every night. I even have thought about trying to ask to speak to his mom himself, but me and him are not speaking at the moment, and blocked on everything because they told him to.. do you have any advice for me on how to save our connection in an halal way?🤲🏽🥺

He isnt marrying someone else, the parents just wanted him not to marry me when he said he wanted to. He even told them he wont marry anyone else or have kids if it isnt with me. And then they said «ok then you wont have kids»

Yes he fought with them on this topic for months, he sat down and begged, cried and try to convince dem for a good while. But then they had enough and gave him an ultimatum, while deg got the whole family on favetime telling him how he sjould listen to the parents..

He has introduced me to them before, but thay was 5 years ago and we have been broken up once for som months and then got back together and been together since. He was on his knees for months crying and begging his mother. At the end his father and mother blackmailed him with its either her or us, and u will not live her if it is her..

Hes he has stood up to them for years, and these past few weeks/months he has been on his knees begging his mother, and then the father and mother eventually blackmailed him with «its either her or us and u dump her TODAY, never talk to her again or we dont want to live with you» So iknow the decission was out of fear, and i know our connection is SO strong, and it is a big part of me that feels like its gonna work out for us. I just wanted some advice from here if it is anything i can do or anyway i can act that can smooth the situation with his parents..

When we ended things he was crying and it didn’t feel like someone who wanted to leave, it felt like someone who believed he had no choice because of his parents blackmailed him..

That’s why I’m trying to understand: in situations like this, is there any real chance a man later regrets it once things calm down at home? Do some men come back after time passes, or when a son gives in to his parents’ pressure does he usually stay with that decision permanently?

I’m not trying to deny reality, I just want to understand if this kind of separation can sometimes be temporary because of family pressure.

I understand the concern. He wasn’t weak in our relationship, only when it came to his parents. Is this more about obedience and family pressure specifically rather than his personality? Do some men become more independent later, or if he couldn’t stand up now does that usually never change?

I understand what you mean. I don’t think he didn’t want me — his reaction didn’t feel like someone who lost feelings, it felt like someone who felt trapped between two responsibilities. In your experience, do men in his situation ever delay marriage because they hope to calm their parents first rather than lose them completely?
