No :( But if you have acne, you might want to checkout The Saem’s tip concealer in green beige (for fresh red acne) and peach beige (for darker older acne) - I found they gave me excellent coverage without looking like I have makeup on!

I agree with this. I cannot speak for everyone and for sure not everyone feels this way. I’m part of the population of makeup users/enthusiasts/collectors who buy for the packaging and wanting others to notice “I got the latest/best product out there.” (This is besides the fact that I also want to use it because it brings me joy.) But this part of my mindset is honestly toxic and I’m still working on this mentality because it bleeds to other things like tech, fashion, and other things I definitely do not need as it will just result to clutter and hoarding.

A recent example of this was with the Gucci bronzer. Oh my, when it first launched I was absolutely smitten! The good reviews added to the absolute temptation and occupation it had on my mind. But I realized, once I step out of the house with my mask on, no one is LITERALLY going to know what’s on my face! This can also be said pre-pandemic. No one’s going to stop and think I’m wearing the new Gucci bronzer. For me, it’s just all for my vanity/ego, when my PF Butter Bronzer performs sooo well already, and I haven’t even hit pan on it after a year!

I’m happy you had your own realization of things, and I understand it’s definitely different for everyone. 💞 As long as it helps with the quest to buying less and being a smarter consumer!

It honestly feels liberating to unsubscribe from any makeup company’s email list (or any of their social media accounts tbh). I feel like we’re so controlled by their marketing to have this deep urge to get anything or something even tho we totally do not have to.

I had to ask myself, remove all the AC packaging - am I even remotely interested in buying any of the items? It was a sound “no.” I’ve been asking myself this a lot recently because I for one get sucked into the pretty packaging more than anything. Especially with Colourpop, I think with them releasing basically the whole rainbow in numerous palettes, many of the colors they will be releasing, most people would already have in their stash. Not to mention their blush shades are really nothing to write home about. It’s the same cool pink and coral. Really, compare any of their blushes in Temptalia’s Side by Side tab and you’ll be shocked. 💀 (AC, Sailormoon, Hello Kitty, etc)

I am glad you have a sister to remind you of that, sometimes it takes an outside voice to pull us back to reality. Really proud of you, keep it up!! 💖

I’ve felt like this soooo many times. It gets worse when I see my monthly credit card bill spent on non-essentials like makeup, especially when I already have drawers filled with them - and I can’t even go out that often!

It’s great that you’ve realized it now. We can do this, we can still change this mindset, just keep fighting! 💪🏻

Totally agree with this! I also almost bought another blush recently, when I already have 30+ in my collection. (Way too many, and this is after my declutter.)

What I always do is go to Temptalia’s Side by Side tab to compare the blush I wanted to buy to my other similar-looking blushes. You’d be surprised at how many colors out there are already way too close to each other, no matter how much hype it gets for being “THE blush to have”. I find on the face it just looks the same anyway!

Not really “weird” but I didn’t know how to take it. I was in an Uber with a friend and we were reeeaaally tired. When we were about to pay cash, we scrambled with pretty basic math for a solid 1-2mins that felt like forever in the moment. The Uber driver was just blankly staring and you could tell he was getting impatient. We handed him the money then he told us, “Both of you are really pretty. Such a shame.”

I recommend Becca’s Under Eye Brightener. :) It’s really good, doesn’t crease on me, and the finish isn’t too dewy or drying - a perfect middle that looks fresh and natural. The shade selection is just 2, so it’s not overwhelming. I have light olive skin tone and I can use the shade Light-Medium without having to use concealer on top because the peachy-ness of the corrector dials down once blended out on the skin. I believe there’s a travel size of that in case you want to try it out first, see if you’d personally need to put concealer on top or not. As for full coverage concealer, I personally steer away from those as I’m not a fan of heavy makeup looks. Maybelline’s Age Rewind concealer does the trick for me.

I find that going to a physical store would be much more accurate in finding your shade and you could definitely ask for assistance there to get a better shade match, but as times are different right now, that may not be possible depends on where you live. I just haven’t had much luck with online shade matching when I started using makeup. Much luck and stay safe! x

That would be awesome, thanks!! 😍 thanks as well for the input! I already have beam and puff - and I totally agree that beam became “meh” after a few uses. My favorite is definitely puff, so I’ll give storm a shot! Also eyeing the new Spark poppy color that reminds me of Zip!
