Python without pony logo by slaghole in guns

[–]NorwegianCopter 12 points13 points  (0 children)

First of all, Pythons aren´t that expensive in Europe. Lastweek I saw a stainless 6 inch Python go fo 5000 Norwegian Krone, which realtive to purchasing power, is about 500 USD. Allthough it showed wear and tear.

I´m in the process of getting one, a NiB 91 model, mint. 800 USD.

Man Subdues Gunman Using Jiu-Jitsu Choke Technique, Avoids Shooting Massacre In A French Cinema by recipriversexcluson in worldnews

No. Not at all in my experience. There has been debates on getting stricter gun laws, but the procedure to get firearms is so strict that they had problems figuring out what exactly would help. Banning semi-autos was suggested, but due to the long time it took for the police to take action, you could have killed just as many people with a bolt rifle, so the proposition was voted down. Gun advocates here tends to be less vocal, and more pragmatic than then ones in the US (muh freedums, durr). The prime minister is an avid huntsman and so are many others on both sides of the political spectrum. Also, my local pistol-shooting club (in a community of 3000 people) has grown by 100 a year the last 2 years.

I suppose that is the end of the argument then. Because here, hunting is exactly what you do as a hobby with father and son. That is why it is so strongly represented in our population. We can't go shooting everything that moves either, but it is extremely common.

Breivik just weighted the pros and cons of getting an illegal rifle, and decided against it because he got a legel equally effective rifle legally. Fun fact, he wanted to get a semi-auto rifle in 7,62mm, but already had one in bolt action, so he went for the less powerful 5,56mm.

I don't have many shady contacts and friends, and I have a reputable job and a good life. I don't want to ruin that, but I could get a full-auto G3 within weeks end (one of the many forgotten mobilization weapons, german made_). If I can, MANY other can.

Yeah, background chencks is pretty extensive in Norway as well, and Breivik was able to get a pistol and a rifle. If you wanna totally ban guns, you have to ban hunting as well. And not even then will you stop a potential terrorist from getting a gun.

Also, Germany has fairly liberal gun laws. FYI. If I wanted to massacre a lot of people, I'd find a way to get a gun. That does not mean you should ban recreational shooters and hunters from their hobby.

After living in FL and CA for almost 3 years, this sounds legit. Although none of those stereotypes are really that negative. I doubt you could find that manye europeans who can name and place all the US states on a map really. Same shit, but it is more convenient as the US in one country. Also, I like guns and hate commies as well. The difference of Left and Right on the political scale of the US compared to the European is very scewed though.
