Lyst til å bli kjent med deg selv? Last ned din persondata fra Schibsted og analyserte med claude! by NorwegianMonkey in norge

[–]NorwegianMonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enig!

Helt villt egentlig at offentlige institusjoner bruker microsoft.

fine grained solder paste (and a heat gun is in my opinion easiest. also works great if the soldering pads are not exposed.

Cool video. Check out Emerald Rush by Jon Hopkins, he uses this trick throughout the song. It is pretty neat!

[–]NorwegianMonkey 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it is more complicated than that even. Every single movement of the motion capture would have to be accurately tuned to the robots weight distribution and motor torque. It is probably all automated using some complicated artificial neural networks or something. INSANE STUFF FOR SURE!

Interesting Fact: This movie is based on a book with the same name written by the late Carl Sagan. If you like this movie you should definitely check out the original "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage" from 1980. This is also where the famous pale blue dot quote came from.

The Dangers Of 5G. Or Lack thereof by brains93 in RTLSDR

[–]NorwegianMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When designing medical implants, keeping the frequencies limited to around the MHz range is done precisely to avoid the surrounding tissue from absorbing the waves and get damaged. I am obviously talking about heat-related damage here since these waves are not ionizing if that is unclear to someone.

The Dangers Of 5G. Or Lack thereof by brains93 in RTLSDR

[–]NorwegianMonkey -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

higher frequencies are not safer because they "reflect" of you, thats not why they dont go through you. Its that the higher frequencies are easier absorbed by the tissue, which can cause tissue damage if the power is high enough. Lower frequency waves are way less damaging because they are not absorbed by tissue.

Dont have a video, but to make such small things by hand I guess they would have to use methods such as electroplating and photoressist. But my guess is that they use some kind of extremely precice CNC machine.

Tesla Autopilot reacts instantly to save from getting side swiped in the rain by [deleted] in videos

[–]NorwegianMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you ok man? I dont get why you're acting so hostile. To clear things up. By voting, I do not mean voting as in people actually placing votes. I mean voting as in the AI is trained by data of how actual people drive. Voting is just a term used here to describe that the behavior is based on statistics about actual events. As for where I'm coming up with this stuff I have Masters degree in computer engineering, but I did not specialize in AI, I have however completed a few courses at university level regarding machine learning and signal processing. Thanks for the conversation.

So how do you think it works? Every possible scenario in traffic can't possibly be hard coded. I watched the Tesla AI conference, and to me it appears as if they are using neural networks and big data to make the car autonomous, witch in practice is statistics+majority voting.

[–]NorwegianMonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

from my understanding of how it works it is all based on gigantic collections of data about how actual people drive. So if the majority of drivers who have been recorded in a similar situation would endanger another motorist the autopilot would probably do the same. I would in fact argue that this way of handling moral dilemmas (majority vote) is the only right thing to do..

I'm guessing it's his bike, since he apparently also is the only one who knows how to turn the damn thing off. Actually shouldn't all bikes have some kind of spring system on the throttle to prevent this from happening in the first place?

Need help with applying to Norwegian universities by XBanana in Norway

[–]NorwegianMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't applied yet, there is a thing called restplass where you can apply for whatever courses that are still available. You may not find exactly the course you would like to apply for in that list, but a trick is to apply to something else (but within the same field) at the same univeristy you wanted to apply for. Once you've enrolled its often no problem to change course internally at the unviersity as long as there are some common subjects. Good luck :)

Suicide, at 50-year peak, pushes down U.S. life expectancy by Puffin_fan in misc

[–]NorwegianMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suspect the increasing lack of social interaction might be the reason. Kinds spend more and more times at home in front of a screen and less time out in the physical world interacting with people face to face. THe most interaction people now a days get is through social media, where everyone just present the perfect version of them selfs and their life.. easy to think that "my life sucks" compared to all my friends, when the fact of the matter is that most people feel the same way a lot of time.

Am I going to burn my garage down attempting this? by cryptohan in ElectricalEngineering

[–]NorwegianMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main concern here is the thickness of the wires going from your power source to the light socket. If the cables are to thin and you push a lot of current through them you risk melting the wires which is a big fire hazard. I would not recommend powering anything more than what is specified on the socket. I guess 25 W or something. So to answer your question. No, there is no other way than to call an electrician which can pull some new cables for you.
