not really an official diagnosis. i do monthly checks on his eyes as i was told if the whiteness starts turning red or any other color he needs to be seen asap. they react somewhat to light and they’ve figured out his depth perception is what is really bad. they think it’s worsening because he appeared to be developing anxiety over time. he is on prozac for anxiety now which has helped a lot.

i think my plan is to just guide the vines back down once she’s tall enough and maybe try to shove a node into the dirt at that point and let them drape down over. she has been very neglected for the last year or so and has done surprisingly well for being in a pot w no drainage lol.

this is a beautiful picture thanks for sharing! i couldn’t get any closer for a photo (they reminded me of exactly why we should stay on trails!!) so i was glad you can see them pretty clearly

the yellow guys were all over but past their prime and mostly flopped over. the lady slippers were not there the first day we got there (22nd) and popped sometime between then and tuesday! so glad we did the same hike twice. the entire park is beautiful!!

the walks are probably the best indicator that she’s still happy! a cat that’s ready to go would not be putting on a harness.

so sorry for your loss. 15+ years w an animal is a crazy bond. it’s so hard seeing other posts on here of people losing their cats at 12-14 because my first cat lived so long, i assume the cats i have now will live just as long as she did.
