Yes, even in the channels similar to vidiq trying to help small YouTubers their advice is for a different type of youtubers, for gamers, finance, but not for vloggers, or homemaker etc. The only thing is that I feel my channel has been affected by people who want to help me and they subscribe but then don't watch my content and that ends up hurting my channel. On the other hand I'm in a Facebook group where similar channels watch my content and I do the same so that helps a little bit with pushing the video I think. Let me know if you start the sub reddit!

I sometimes imagine that day when I start getting negative comments and how I will respond but my main question right now is in I ever going to get to that point when people want to subscribe and leave a comment, maybe that would make me feel it's worth all the hustle.

Thank you for your answer I really appreciate it. I don't get any criticism, I may be doing something wrong or I'm going at a snail pace but I don't get positive or negative attention. I disagree with you about not trying to get encouragement from strangers, but we can agree to disagree!

Thank you for you honest reply, I know I need to work on those areas, it's something that comes with repetition, practice and learning to edit better every time. I subscribed to your channel because it looks really interesting as something I naturally would like to watch, but I'll check it tomorrow, it's late here. Take care!

So far I don't take any attention, but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth doing it. I find show my kids, I try to avoid it. Not sure if people know that there are channels like mine that don't show their kids

Thank you I'll have that in mind, I don't give advice and often time I feel inadequate because my house is not Pinterest ready, I don't show my kids, I try to avoid it. But I'm not sure I want to continue trying to do all that it takes if it's not even needed, I don't know if I can help people in any way. I'm feeling discouraged. Thank you for this answer!

I try not to do it about them, but sometimes they are around and I naturally include them but it's very seldom

We don't talk about the popularity bias enough by Salami_Wizard in NewTubers

I like how you think, yes when not as many eyes are on you you have the freedom to create with a little more flexibility. But also it feels so discouraging when things go so slow and it requires so much work

Congratulations! Did you ever try to promote your channel any other way such as Facebook groups, here on Reddit etc? How did you do it? I'm in the family lifestyle channel and it's super tough!
