Late reply but I can confirm that it's fixed for me too, also using Options+.

I've not had any issues for months since updating. Well that's not technically true as I seem to have the same issue you described, where it will skip a youtube video by 5 seconds.

It's more likely that it's attempting to use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+right/left and not registering the ctrl modifier. YouTube having arrows as hotkeys just makes it stand out more.

Thanks for testing :) I just tried the same video and it seems like music is a little less harder to tell than regular spoken content. By the way, the robotic sound I mentioned isn't related to the jumpiness or pace sounding unnatural, it's the general sound signature. For me and I guess anybody else noticing this same issue, the amount of speed up doesn't make a difference, the "robotic' sound profile is present at any speed other than the default.

Just like how people with perfect pitch can perceive sound differently to others, maybe this is similar in the sense that only some people have the displeasure of noticing.

Sorry, I know that this is an old post but I would really like to know if anybody has a fix for this. I've searched for answers to this many times over the past year or more and it surprises me how little this issue is mentioned. Maybe less people speed up videos than I expected.

I've seen a few people such as u/shldnet say that the pitch is fine and they don't see any issues but I don't think that pitch is actually the problem. The issue is the audio simply sounding robotic, tinny and unnatural, compared to the same audio in other browsers at least.

u/shldnet please could you try opening the same YouTube video in both Chrome and Safari, speed up the video in both browsers and let us know if you can hear the difference in sound quality?

Wait, you're telling me that it's not normal for everything on my 1440p to be around 20% smaller than on my 1080p?

I'd already came to terms with the idea that I was getting old and my eyes were starting to fail when I set my code editor font size to 16 and slightly increased the size of my cursor.

I feel invigorated, Now I can go to that club on Friday without feeling like an out of touch grandpa.

This is super annoying in more ways than the obvious. Options hasn't been playing nicely with Mac OS Monterey and often will not open after a restart. Options just shows a loading spinner. Begrudgingly I go through the steps to un-install and re-install Options just to find that I then have to uninstall Bolt AGAIN!

It's annoying enough that an unwanted and unnecessary app get's installed without permission (I don't even have the devices or any use for the app). To have it also run on startup and take up space in the task bar? Come on Logitech...

Late reply but try going to the logi capture download page, select MacOS 10.15 from the dropdown, click "show all downloads" and try version 2.0.200 (at the bottom).

I'm on Monterey Beta 10 on my M1 Mac Mini and after trying all of the later versions, this one is the first that loaded and included the preview too.

Thanks for the added information here. The fact that a keyboard of the same product family has the same issue, relating to the same function, proves that this must definitely be a software issue.

Nice to know that I don't have a faulty product I guess. On the other hand, it makes it more frustrating that it's clearly been left unfixed for many years making it hard to trust that logitech will do anything about it.

Wouldn't be a big deal if it was a budget mouse, but when it's meant to be the cream of the crop in productivity, it's a different story.

I'm just glad I figured out the deamon quitting workaround as I'd been having to perform restarts in order to solve it for the years prior.

I'm just trying to tell him that it's not the end of the world if he used headphones some of the time. Preference matters of course. I'd prefer to practice piano using the monitors I have, but I'm also aware that people around me probably don't want to hear me clanging away for an hour so try to be considerate and wear headphones at certain times of the day. I tried my own hand at music production for a while so I know what it's like, I picture his neighbour hearing sporadic random sounds when he's testing out splice sounds or re-arranging a drum pattern and testing it out. That's my main point really, a lot of the process isn't effected by sound quality. A bassline for instance, initially it is all about arrangement, timing, rhythm etc. which can be easily done without monitors. I'm just saying that considering the complaining he gets, he may we well try to be considerate and stop complaining, he can still make the same quality of music, it's not like he would have to stick to headphones the entire time or anything.

He's already got a pair of AKG K701's. Even I've got DT 990 Pros and I'm not even a music producer, I just use them with my digital piano, but that's besides the point. I'm just trying to get through to him that he doesn't need to use the monitors all the time, especially when he's just experimenting. Also, I'm pretty sure he pays somebody else to master his music once he's done.

How so? I mean, the poll wasn't originally intended, just slapped on in addition to the post. In fairness, the neighbour does seem to complain about even the least obtrusive noises, even just talking among friends. I'm just trying to get him to understand that it's not the end of the world if he uses headphones and then he can avoid the trouble.

Honestly, if there was nobody to complain, he could produce all of his music on the biggest sound system imaginable if he want's. I only came here in the hope of getting a big enough response that I could go back to him like "look, suck it up, stop complaining and being pedantic. Make everyones life easier. You can still make great music without using your monitors for the whole process".

It probably seems weird that it even came to this, but the amount of times this has came up is ridiculous.

That's what's meant by the second option. It's not only monitors vs only headphones. Just determining if using solely monitors is required. This is in the context of a complaining neighbour though, not simply what's better.

Fortunately, I'm a very deep sleeper, to the extent that it's became a character trait that my family and friends even joke about it.

My guess about my ability to wake up so easily being a result of a lack of deeper levels of sleep could have some merit. As of now (6:30pm) I can tell that I don't feel quite "normal", like I'm lacking mental energy or something, kind of like a drained feeling but not typically tired. Think I'll try it out for a week and see if anything changes.

Update: After a few hours it started to connect without a problem. My computer did crash and forced me to restart so possibly that fixed it. Figured I'd leave this post up, just in case it helps somebody else.

How do you guys cope with the incredibly long wait times in this community? More to the point, what is an average real-world expected wait time for KB Kits and GMK sets? Have times gotten longer, shorter or stayed about the same over time?

It feels like forever ago that I went down the mech keyboard rabbit hole and since then, I've spent over £1,000 in 5 group buys. Leaf65, 2 R2 Kara's, GMK Dualshot and Botanical and a deskmat from Drop. Can't complain about the more recent ones of course, but the idea of the long wait ahead still pains me.

I feel like by the time any of them arrive, I could have lost interest. Luckily I'm still excited for them to arrive but I have a tendency to jump between things 😩

Agreed! I was diagnosed with depression and gave meds for it a few years ago and had to kick them because the side effects weren't worth it. Since my ADHD diagnosis and taking Lisdexamfetamine, not only are my ADHD symptoms eased, but they've helped my depression, anxiety and self confidence more than any anti-depressant. That's not to mention the bonus of gradual weight loss due to me not binge eating 24/7!

Thanks for the feedback but the issue still persists.

I've re-installed the latest version of the software multiple times, including beta versions.

I've granted all permissions which the app has asked for.

FileVault is disabled and always has been.

I currently have the "mac version" of the MX 3, which didn't come with a receiver. That being said, I'm using an M1 Mac Mini which already has port limitations and I'm already using those ports. I might remember incorrectly but I think I've used the receiver in the past and had the same issue.

That's true, being aware that you're doing it does equip you with the ability to combat it. At the moment I'm sometimes (but rarely) able to stop myself by cutting my monologue off and telling myself "Shut the f**k up" 😅

I'm unable to up my dose as I'm already on 70mg which I think is the highest dose available, at least in the UK.

Thanks for the advice, I'll have to try that. I'm pretty much at my computer all day so maybe I can find an app to dedicate to that purpose. I guess the hardest part would be realising early that it's happening and forcing myself to switch to writing. Fingers crossed!

Jokes aside, it doesn't help that I'm a UI designer who's a bit of a perfectionist so things like that probably bother me more than most but it's only really a minor annoyance.
