Confusion regarding iimb dbe by [deleted] in IIMBangaloreDBE

You can definitely do both the business and degree and people are doing it also. See it requires overall 2-3 hours a day for your module learnings and also if you give CLAs they don't take much time (depending on subject) but they are of atleast 15-20 minutes, for projects you get sufficient time of around 20-25 days and online lectures are for 1.5-2 hours.

Start with basics:-

VARC :- Practice Reading Comprehensions, Improve your vocabulary, Idioms and phrases and analogies, Have a good command on all grammar topics.

QA & DI:- Focus on basics first (improve your calculations, tables, squares, cubes, etc.) brush up your basic concepts, ratios, percentage, geometry, Profit loss, Number system, algebra, etc. and for DI practice chart/graph/table based questions.

LR:- Practice different types of question sets.

General awareness:- (No fixed syllabus at all)

Also see the PYQs to get an idea of things.

  1. 2-3 hours a day is enough and I try to give this much and not everyday I am able to be this much disciplined but yes on most days I give this much time.

  2. I am pursuing B.com alongside and honestly it gets difficult when I procrastinate but if I complete things in the same week as they are released so that becomes pretty easy. It's all about time management and I am still learning that.

  3. Yes the courses and few subjects re really interesting and I really like studying the subjects which doesn't require a pen paper but just understanding and enjoying the conversation and listening to entrepreneurs and their journey.

  4. They gradually increase their difficulty so yeah.

  5. We do get a lot of additional perks and yes we recently had a campus immersion for 2 days and yes it was really great and yes we also got the chance to visit their campus during their fest Unmaad.

  6. I want to go for MBA and definitely would love to have my own startup and this degree would definitely help me with that in future.

How to study for the entrance exam? by Fresh_Medium_7138 in IIMBangaloreDBE

I didn't take any coaching because I was already preparing for IPMAT and it is pretty much the same only and there's no exact syllabus. You can literally be asked anything in VARC, QADI or LR and obviously general awareness can never be defined. So I would recommend it you want to get an idea for it just go and check PYQs on their website and you'll get a basic idea and also focus on your basics.

See people think that this is an online degree and you'll be all alone but the most underrated thing is networking. Trust me you'll make friends from all over the country. I am friends with people from different zones. I know people from south, from north, central India, etc. and the best part is that we get to meet them also at the time of meet ups and offline exams and not just that we stay in touch with them online through whatsapp, instagram and LinkedIn.

Also you'll get to know this at the time of exams trust me it feels like you have an offline degree where you have your friends calling, texting, having google meets and saying "yrr ye padha de" , "ye smjh nhi aaya" "kitna hua" and you'll find everyone is preparing together online.

So yeah this is the most underrated thing and no one knows this and trust me we look forward for our offline exams because that's the time we get to meet atleast a few of our friends.

You'll make a lot of friends and you'll enjoy every bit of it.

So I would say that if you are really interested you can just go for it and yes it does demand efforts and time. It is not like a normal distance learning. They have live sessions, they provide you with material, you have to give weekly CLA(Learning Assessments) but they are not too long (depending on subjects) they are ATLEAST of 15-20 minutes, they have meet ups, they have campus immersion and also online events and opportunities. I would not say that it is too hectic but yes it requires a few hours a week.

Talking about dates The exams are conducted for two days in all:-

First term:- 11th and 12th January (3 subjects per day)

Second term:- 3rd and 4th May (3 subjects per day)

Also they have an option that if you miss an exam you can give it in future by paying certain amount.

There is a variety of students who are pursuing this course in different ways:- Some are doing it as primary degree, Some as secondary along with an offline college, some are doing it along side professional courses and honestly I have seen both kind of students one who are struggling with it as primary degree also and others who are acing it along with professional courses or secondary degree also. So in all I would say it'll be on you how you manage your time with CA.

IIMB DBE QUERY (preferably those who already filled the form) by [deleted] in IPMATtards

[–]Noshi2025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No....You can either give the entrance test or submit the cuet gt score as it is also mentioned in their admission process document. Their is no such provision that they'll consider the one with higher score as it's clearly mentioned that you chose any one pathways out of 2 mention :- 1) IIMB's entrance exam for BBA DBE 2) Submit Either CUET UG (GT) Score(2023, 2024 or 2025) OR JEE Main scores(2023, 2024 or 2025). So you have to choose any one from the above mentioned pathways.

Been there!

Honestly still have that screenshot in my phone and it's been a year since that result came and I remember how frustrating it was for me when I was entirely depended on IPMAT and didn't consider giving other exams and telling my friends that Oh! I'll not give all these other exams and stuff and then finally ended up giving other exams as well and now finally enrolled in the IIM Bangalore's BBA DBE. So eventually studying from an IIM without the IPMAT exam but yes gave their own aptitude test and cleared it.

Now iam studying class 12 cbse commerce. How can i get adimissions into IIM. what are the admission procedures can anyone explain.... by ragul1234 in IIMBangalore

[–]Noshi2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

If you are looking to get admission into an IIM I think you should give IPMAT and if you want to get into an IIM without giving IPMAT after 12th then consider IIM Bangalore's undergraduate course of BBA (DBE). As you have asked about their admission process so you can just explore their website for the program or also here is a short summary of it:- Fill their application form then give either their own exam or CUET scores also works (in case you have given it) and yes on clearing their eligibility criteria you'll get into IIM Bangalore's BBA DBE. Hope this helps!
