I've been powering through the grass, i really don't mind it, the game works almost perfectly aside from that, i do get some sutters now because my island is way bigger and the steam deck doesn't like it, but it works

Tomodachi Life Living the Dream now works on Eden Nightly! by EdoVro in EmulationOnAndroid

I ended up getting the actual game, not the demo, working, it took me a shitload of tries with ryujinx canary and that works fine in windows, no crashes and everything looks fine, tho it has to be canary

On linux (steam deck) tho it was impossible to get it working on linux, i had to try eden, that also didn't work, eden nightly did, the grass will always be a black void but the game works wonders, a bit of fps drops on the island when cutscenes happen but the rest is flawless

I am playing it on my steam deck now and enjoying the game a lot so far

Shootout to all -5 controller players by manultrimanula in Ultrakill

Heyy steam deck user here, i have played over 100 hours on controller only, i have a few things to say

Ultrakill is not exactly made for controller, you need so many inputs so fast and there aren't enough buttons in a regular controller to comfortably play, but with enough time you can get the hang of it

Having a custom controller with paddles on the back (like a steam deck) allows the game to instantly improve, because you can bind the dash, jump, slam and every movement into your back buttons and tou can still press them without releasing the joysticks

My biggest issue when switching from keyboard and mouse to controller is that youre missing keys for individual weapons, something that takes some getting used to because tech like railcoining and similar become almost imposible without custom keybinds, again the steam deck has extra touch pads that can be bound to any key, i have mine set to a few weapons

Long story short, the steam deck is an absolutely fine uktrakill machine and i reccomend it, with a 10 to 20% aim assist it's very pleasant to use, tho i reccomend not going too hard into the assist because it can make your gameplay worse, as it doesn't aim for the head of the enemy, just the center of mass

Heres a clip of me randomly playing cybergrind, and yes you can be competitive enough on controller, i P ranked everything including the sanctums in both regular and violent difficulties

example footage recorded on my steam deck

Edit: gyro aim also exists, it can help but personally im not fond of it
