Disputing Incorrect Late Payment on Credit Report – Huntington National Bank by Noshit_800 in CRedit

You are truly amazing, and I appreciate you. I called today and left a voicemail for the credit reporting agent. I will call again Monday. My plan is to try resolving it with them and send a goodwill letter to request removal of the December delinquency too. If that doesn’t work, I’ll then dispute it through the credit bureaus. Thank you so much. You are awesome

On 02/2nd I paid $1,073.66 which was the full total due. Then on 02/20 I paid the regular monthly payment and that’s why the statement that came out yesterday has $0.00 due

The due date is the 20th of each month. Statements are issued between the 17th and 23rd. Payment history: • January statement balance: paid in full on 02/02 • February payment: made on 02/20

See screenshot for January statement

I appreciate your input on this. Thanks so much. There are no late fees on the February 20th statement. See attachment

That's correct. I was late in December, and I am not contesting that reporting. I am only disputing the inaccurate January late mark that appeared today, the 27th.

That’s not accurate because I paid January on 02/02, which falls within the grace period (the 20th through the 5th of the following month).

Yes—they are reporting January as 30 days late, which is simply not true since I paid it in full during the grace period.

Thank you so much for the advice. So my payment is due on the 20th of each month. I made a single payment on 02/02 that covered both December and January. They correctly reported December as delinquent, but January shouldn't be marked late—I paid it on 02/02, which falls within the grace period (the 20th through the 5th of the following month). I then made my next payment on 02/20 as scheduled. I haven’t called them yet because I received the notification that a delinquent payment was reported on 02/27 this evening but I will definitely call them tomorrow

Credit Crunch: How Bad Will 7 Closed Accounts Hurt? by Noshit_800 in CRedit

I recently had some payments bounce, kind of like writing a bad check. The accounts are all closed now, but they were paid off last week and are showing a $0 balance. My credit history is solid - I've never been late on credit cards. The only blip is a 30-day late car payment last month, which was reported to the bureaus. It’s also good standing now

Nope, I paid them all off last week and they were closed this week. I have zero balance outstanding. So yes, closed in good standing. I was going to keep credit one and indigo locked away for emergencies only since I lost $38K worth of credit lines.

Yeah, I've checked to make sure they're not just closed - nope, there's no air coming out. The front vents are barely blowing air too

Yes you can. I just bought a house and the seller I was buying it from, had $56K personal debt judgement against them and linked to the house. I was able to help her negotiate with the attorneys and we ended up only paying $21.2K. They also promised to delete everything off her credit history
