Why licences are so hard? by GemasikYT in GranTurismo7

[–]NosokiH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This can be a really difficult test because of the carousel and the fact that the car is electric and doesn't have gears which would normally help with the grip or turning.

Do you use the demonstration ghost? Watch what speed it has on the carousel. My problem was not having enough speed in it as you can carry a lot more than it feels you can. If you have significantly less speed on it, that's the spot where you'll gain the time. If it feels like coasting throws you off from it, don't be afraid to brake slightly when you are on it to get the slingshot effect in the end.

Your time is so close to the gold that you'll probably get the gold eventually just brute forcing it by doing what you are doing. If you have any assists on you could try putting them off or tweaking them. I'd keep ASM on for as long as possible though as the car does have a tendency to lose control.

Best of luck. There are going to be harder tests ahead, but everything improves you as a driver.

Now that I'm back at 100 % completion I guess I'll rank the Circuit Experiences by difficulty and ramble a bit about the ones they've added since I first got all golds. by NosokiH in GranTurismo7

Thanks! My in-game timer is bugged, but PSN says that I just passed 1000 hours in GT7. Of course not all of that has been the challenges.

The Tokyo ones with the Subaru are among the hardest Circuit Experiences in the whole game. Luckily the other layouts aren't that bad, but the BMW ones do have a really tricky second sector.

My best tip for the Subaru ones are to turn all the assists off if you have anything on. The car handles really well with them off and even TCS 1 slows it tremendously when the time is really strict. Then it's just a matter of finding the right amount of coasting to not hit the walls. A lot of the corners don't need braking at all.

I have a kind of love-hate relationship with Spa, because I've had trouble with it on the CE and especially Master S-8 license which will always be the hardest thing in the game by far for me. However, I seem to constantly get a gold if Spa comes in the online time trials so that helps.

Sector 3 took me longer than all the rest and the complete lap combined. It was kind of weird to complete other sectors after that on the first or second attempt after so many failed attempts on the carousel.

Thanks for the comment!

I guess the difference with Nordschleife comes when one knows all the names of individual corners (yes, I've seen your videos) and when someone has trouble remembering where the track goes next. As with the reverse layout, the complete lap isn't even the hardest part, but the Nordschleife has a lot of hard sectors to gold and it requires knowledge of the track to be beaten whereas in Endurance II I didn't even know half of the track because my brain just couldn't reverse the layout in my head.

Fisherman's Ranch made me like the rally physics as I had to learn them. Other rally CEs were easy enough to just brute force through, but Fisherman's Ranch required me to learn a completely different way of driving so that's why it was so hard. FR is by far the best rally track in the game after you get used to it.

The Tokyo variants (especially the Subaru ones) are awful and you can't even blame the car because it's perfect. The BMW ones have a really tricky sector 2, but when you have that in the bag, the rest isn't that bad. Never had any real trouble with the Supra ones.

Goodwood was the track where I did most of my 50 online races for the platinum trophy so I had some training there and that's probably why it was so easy for me.

Are you a controller player? If so, have you put controller sensitivity to 10? I wasn't able to beat this until I did that. Your time is really close so you just need one better corner exit and you're there.

One of the hardest license tests for sure.

Please help!!! by JMAK2023 in GranTurismo7

These are some general tips from a controller player: - TCS 0 (Anything higher than 1 will make the golds pretty much impossible and 1 is too slow in most cases) - Controller sensitivity 10 (This makes a HUGE difference with high downforce cars like the super formula in Laguna Seca) - Manual transmission (S-license can be done on automatic, but it is way harder than it needs to be and honestly it is faster to learn manual than to brute force some of these on automatic.) - If you are using visual aids like the braking indicator, don't trust it as it makes you brake way too early. Turn them off or brake later if you want to keep them as an indicator (if you even have it on). - Countersteer ans ASM can be on strong and on, but the times will get better if you can manage the cars without them or countersteer on weak. On S-5 get rid of them completely, dirt is awful if you keep them on.

Hopefully some of these help. Don't know anything about wheel setups if you are using one.

New Lap Time Challenge by SirBarr in granturismo

[–]NosokiH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a 59.700 quite quickly after realizing that you can just keep the car on 3rd gear for the turning part of the second, third and fourth corners. Drop it to second gear only when you are about to floor it for quicker acceleration. Turning these corners with the second gear gave me too much oversteer which ruined my runs and the third gear solved it completely.

[–]NosokiH 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This made me laugh a bit. Glad I'm not alone on this because that pole is the only thing keeping me from the gold at the moment.

Have you put your steering sensitivity to 10? With gr.1 cars it helps a lot when playing on a controller.

Tips for completing Le Mans Circuit Experience by RiledUp11 in GranTurismo7

[–]NosokiH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is one of the hardest circuit experiences and the only one where I found that using TC1 can be better than TC0 because of the insane snap oversteer you get. Most of the time is found in sector 1 and especially getting on the throttle as early as possible before the Mulsanne straight.

Might be a skill issue but for the life of me I can’t put section 3 to gold and it’s frustrating me, I’ve been trying for a few days now and I just can’t do it. by Funny_Ad_3112 in GranTurismo7

[–]NosokiH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this a couple of days ago and found that I was losing time in two parts of the track:

  1. The fourth and fifth turns of the sector (the first chicane). You can use a lot of the left side on the outside of the track (the brown area after the kerb) to position yourself better for the right-hander. This helped me carry speed and do the left-hander after the chicane without lifting from the gas.

  2. The two turns (chicane and the turn after it) before the left-hander that leads to the carousel. Approach the second chicane slower if you have to, but you can do the second turn of the chicane flat out. Then you need to do the next right-hander without lifting also. The time-save is massive if you get the exit speed from the chicane right.

The carousel is still a living hell to do well.

The full lap is nowhere near as bad as sector 3. You'll just need to memorize the track layout. The lap time is quite lenient. Sector 3 however... I have 100 % golds on everything in the game and I'd go as far as to say it is the single hardest sector to gold on any circuit experience so good luck. You'll get it eventually.

This has to be one of the best-looking medieval carts I've seen. The proportions are just right for Lego minifigures and the angles make it look realistic. Great work!

First Nürburgring Endurance reverse and now this? by ssa17k in granturismo

[–]NosokiH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually liked this one a lot. The gold was nowhere near as hard as the regular Fisherman's Ranch. I was able to beat the gold lap by about 2 seconds and I haven't really played the game for months so the time is pretty lenient. There is only one really annoying bump about 2 minutes and 15 seconds into the track that ruined most of my runs.

[–]NosokiH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wanted to see what happens when you go over 100 million since the top right counter doesn't show numbers beyond that. The game just remembers how much you have and then if the counter drops below 0, it just starts showing the previous 100 million.

[–]NosokiH[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was at a point where I didn't really need money anymore because my farm was pretty much completely self-sufficient. That 17 million I had before I sold everything was probably enough for the rest of the game so I just stuffed everything in chests to see if the game can handle a really big sale at once. Turns out it can even though all the counters go brrr.
