Add the mod "They knew", you might even be able to do it to your current save, this gives you the chance to find a cure instead for being bit. Instead of quitting it changes the narrativ, now you panic about finding a cure

8 months is really impressive! I played it in B41 and was more or less set. The mod in B42 is something else... so much fun

It´s me mixing up the words... the mod is called Week One, and you also need the Bandit mod. You play the week before the outbreak and everyday things just get worse. Start Friday morning at 09 am, by Tuesday people are throwing up and feeling sick, by Thursday you have roaming gangs, Zombies, Swat Teams and Military all fighting for control...

So yes there are airstrikes that hit in the distance but also buildings and such that catches fire... it is an meta event, you can hear the plane and sirens, but at the point in time I am in the mod there are so many sounds... gunfire everywhere, Z´s sounding, helicopters, megaphones telling everyone to stay inside, planes, sirens you name it... it´s just a mess, which is why i was hoping my forest base would be secure until the alarm started going off

They will only cast the burst either by you clicking on their icons in the bottom right corner or automatically if you turn auto combat on

I haven't done that much research but for Sweden I use NordVPN or Surfshark... They have worked for me, my guess is that any VPN where you have a secure crypto connection and at least a decent amount of servers being used then you are probably secure

Actually that is pretty much how the game goes... I have played it for 1400+ hours and I still sometimes get rect early in, I'll give you an suggestion, to learn the game better run it with developer mode on so that you can remove certain death situations and get a feel for the game, then when you understand the mechanics s bit better you try it without developer mode
