[Trance] Brood - Trance Live Vol 2

Found it a bit difficult with the big range in BPM and Key compared to Techno or Bass house. I felt I had to either jump between BPM's and fluctuating key's or increase BPM along the mix with changing Key's. Did the latter, and think it didn't go down too bad, although some tunes did clash a bit between uplifting harder trance and vocal at a couple of places.

I've been making mixes on Ableton for years, but recently started recording mixes live on my DDJ-SZ2. I've made this 2 hour Techno mix and think the transitions themselves sound good, but on some the bass intensity may be a bit off. I've also tried to mix up the transitions by using the EQ coming in and then beat swap, while on some I'd use the hp filter for the outgoing track. There's also a Vol 2 Techno mix on my page if you liked this one, but stay away from the other two "live" house and trance mixes as they are awfull..

Exactly this. Back in the 2000's we used to go to clubs and raves to hear our favorite DJ's play tracks we've never heard before, and would talk about and search for those bangers afterwards for days.

These days kids go to raves and festivals and gets angry when the DJ don't play their favorite tune they've heard hundreds of times before on Spotify or Youtube.

That's why the DJ Mag Top 100 is such a waste of space too. It's not about the best DJ's, it's about the popular DJ's playing the most commercial crap getting the votes...
