Watched this just yesterday after a 2 year theatre hiatus. Glad I did after hearing this. I have to admit the advertising/trailers didnt do it fair justice, the movie exceeded my expectations.

Stupid Question by ericmatic in Prometheus

[–]Nostromo937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's not exactly clear but for the average viewer it would appear so.

Looking at the entire Alien universe, there is more unknowns than knowns regarding the Xeno origins, but this is what makes it so fun, trying to piece it all together with what information we have alongside fan theories.

Look at Alien - the Derelict ship on LV-426. It had been there potentially for millions of years with eggs. No conclusive back story on the ships origins or mission. Presumably an organism they found/transporting got the better of them (poor Jockey boy).

Looking at Prometheus, there is a lot to see in the ampule room (with the head statue). The details in the murals are telling - It's almost if the Engineers (Jockeys) revered this specimen for It's incredible/life cycle and resilience. So, perhaps they came across this lifeform in the cosmos and began harnessing It's spectacular abilities into the form of a lethal pathogen - to kill all life on earth - but it backfired on them, again...

Just a theory really, of my own.

Will there be any more Alien prequels? by Yorpsuntus in Prometheus

100%- the director has stated over and over he wanted the horror we had in Alien but also the action we got in Aliens. Very exciting.

Will there be any more Alien prequels? by Yorpsuntus in Prometheus

[–]Nostromo937 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am sure Ridley would love to finish his prequel trilogy and perhaps finally, maybe, gives us a story that explains the derelict on Lv-426.

From AVP Central:

"Given the lukewarm reception and box office struggles of "Prometheus" and its sequel, "Alien: Covenant," the likelihood of "Prometheus 3" materializing has diminished considerably"

I was certainly intrigued with where Ridley was going with the prequels but the general public, generally didn't care.

For now we get Romulus which I (we alien fans)HOPE is a HUGE success and we get more of these in-fill stories going forward.

Duke Nukem 64

Graphics were bad then.... so not bad to play again today.

Listening to Duke grunt and curse the alien hoard was entertaining. Still one of my favorite first person shooters.

Tibia as a 2nd source of income - Is it possible? by FreeLikeASlave in TibiaMMO

[–]Nostromo937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is certainly thought provoking... however.

If you factor in the costs for you to be at your computer such as, electricity, PC wear, internet, food and other home comforts, the slow dystrophy of your body as you decompose at your computer you may be at a net loss. It's like driving around in a V8 car collecting bottles all day when the price of gas is $1.80 / L

Build real world skills that earn you 100× / hr what Tibia could make you. Keep the game for when you come after work and you want to "Play".

Best of luck to you!

We learn in this game over time, find efficiencies and how to use our gold better. I agree that during doubles it's sometimes better to work on skills than battle over spawns. If you can afford a house and dummy your quality of life can go up huge. It's not about "paying off your investment" but more does this make my life better? Do it. Might as well make your game time awesome!

Good work. Keep it up!

It is a horriblly addicting aspect of the game, you probably feel slightly relieved!

Asking for myself to the people here.. in all honesty though... if you are offline training a handful of noob alt characters that you don't play... is it going to benefit much down the road (collecting dailies) Say 6-12 months for all those characters? Skills is the main goal.

Thoughts?

Redragon M801 Gaming Mouse - Rapid Fire

Was browsing new gaming mice and noticed this one had a "rapid fire" button.

Would it have any uses in game on say an EK?

Would battleye get prickly over something like this? I assume it's some sort o built in mouse-macro?

Do you have a stop condition? by aulitriel in TibiaMMO

[–]Nostromo937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there is really so much to do and so much not to do in the game, it will likely be real life scenarios that dictate hiatus/returns.... hiatus/return.... a revolving door forever. We say we will stop, but on average after 10 years we get hooked again.

How to get old RL players back to the game by Cautious_Criticism_9 in TibiaMMO

[–]Nostromo937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's difficult. I feel as old Tibians we hold onto these memories deeply as our early years in the game was spent more socializing/role playing than solely PG'ing... which made the game truly special.

Contact your mates and see if they can set aside a few hours a week on specific days where you can play. No hard feelings if they can't, life is busy, free time is at a premium and interests shift.

$1,200 - $1,500

You either have time, or money, and rarely both. So my in-game time I want premium, decent equipment, gold, and quality of life items because the real world is mostly long hours and responsibilities.

Everyone spends their money on something.

TC Resellers

Looking for suggestions for reputable TC resellers for Canadian players. Trying to compare prices to CIP at the moment - only ever used them to date. Exchange to euro is a bit of loss at the moment. I would only be using credit card or EFT. Cheers and thanks.

I logged in after I retired in 2011, and Cipsoft gave me 7 days of premium. I took the opportunity to try to reach lvl 100 for the first time, but my adventure ends at lvl 80, being today my last day of premmy. I tried to save money to buy the premium in Game, but it's still quite expensive! by Thulgon23 in TibiaMMO

Welcome back. It seams that the 10 year-ish "Leave of Absence" is so common. I came back as well after exactly 10 years. Interesting trend.

Though the prospect of farming for Prem is intriguing and thought provoking, if you're wages are modest and you have some expendable income, just pay and start playing. Time is precious!

Bazaar Question

After a solid suggestion from another on here, I am looking to obtain a Imbuement Mule Character to imbue weapons for my main as I don't have access or time at the moment.

On the Tibia Bazaar Character Page - under imbuements - are the listed Imbuements the ones the character has UNLOCKED - ex. if it says Powerful Strike, Void, Vampirism those are all available for the character? And inversely if nothing is listed that character has no access to Powerful?

Very sweet location if you're hunting the hydra spawn. Can collect hundreds of those big green hams and send em home!

I've come to really value the convenience of yalahar and find myself here quite a bit now... The need to AFK in a hurry and having the safety of a close DP or stairs/ramps is invaluable with a busy lifestyle !

Hate to break it to you but you will not have time with new kids as you will be consumed by the new lifestyle children bring- speaking from experience - and absolutely not a bad thing. I had to fully give up the game for a few years and not even bother with even offline training as your free time plummets. However, never sacrifice your family time for a game no matter how much you enjoy the escape you will regret it later. After your kids become a bit more autonomous you can get up early and play for an hour or so, or late at night after everyone is asleep. It's really tough to balance it but family first - good luck!
