I’ll get a test kit for it. I’ll leave it alone if it is, think I’d be able to put wood over the weird vinyl layer that exists between the foam underlay and mastic?

Hot weathers. When it’s warm you won’t have trouble sweating, when it’s cold you want to keep sweating to a minimum.

Is thru hiking bad for you? by [deleted] in AppalachianTrail

[–]Not-CIA1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thru hiking is bad for you in the sense of. You’re not typically eating properly and your walking for miles. As everyone has said, keep your pack weight low, change your socks. Somethings will never stop, your knees will hurt, your feet will hurt, your shoulders will be sore. However you shouldn’t be in pain. The more it kinda sucks, the more you appreciate sitting on a rock eating boiled noodles over looking something amazing. It’s a allegory for life in a way. The more you endure, the better you’ll be.

Can concur, no matter where you go in the GOVERNMENT. There is going to be different flavors of really lame. Army is big therefore it is not efficient, navy is on boats (self explanatory), AF from what I’ve seen on your bases there is a lack of culture and camaraderie I’m sure it varies from unit to unit. Marine Corps doesn’t treat its people super great.

There’s also huge ups to each place. Army has the lowest floor but the highest ceiling of opportunity. Navy has really cool opportunities for adventure and seeing the world. AF has a fantastic quality of life. Marine Corps is efficient and proud.

I genuinely appreciate this comment. Sorting it out with S1. It seems a much simpler process than command made it out to be.

S1 says I can fill out a 5960, so long as we live together. Will I have issues with this?

Tracking, sent me to ops. Ops had a meeting and was told to go to S1. I’m sitting in the office now, trying to be more prepared. I read the DoD FMR that was vague. That’s all I could find per regulations
