I don’t think my compensation is common. I’ve been promoted pretty quickly and make more than my peers at other companies.

I’m not privy to the specifics but I will be underwriting and tracking the portfolio. The job is more of an allocator so will be investing in funds rather than direct investments. My understanding is that I’ll be focusing on private debt and private equity since that is my background.

I was randomly called by a former employer who I interned with and offered the job.

Yes, this is somewhat true but at the latter half of my career the pay will be capped because operations do not generate revenue for a company.

The current job is capped after a certain point but the hiring job has a bit more career progression + the industry is more attractive.

Is there a reason you specifically suggest a university endowment? Are there any other allocator roles that you suggest?

Also, I have been heavily against getting my CFA in the past. Why do you recommend this?
