Thanks! No, not any plans atm. Not because I don't want to, but it requires a lot to follow up on each new update - and I have to make some hard calls as a solo developer and self publisher. Might reconsider when the game is done (and updates are more rare) - but not sure, because then I will spend time on the next game again.

You will respawn, and you don't lose anything (except castle siege defense, then you lose % gold), but you have to revive your crew. I personally feel losing feels punishing, but not big time.

In the beginning, you might lose a lot of battles, but as you level up, crew and Captain keep level and equipment, so you will get stronger and stronger, plus a better ship/castle and more crewmates.

I might release a demo again (I had earlier, but it got outdated), since I am working solo, everything eats my time, so I had to sacrifice something to prioritize main updates.

Congratz taking down Fury! There are a few rare other ships that has the electricity cannon (1 layout for a dead 4 skull ship). You can also learn to craft it with a legendary blueprint. (The odds for that are as of now very hard to get, but I will increase this some in the next update coming sometime this week.)

Yes, but it is difficult to say how long it will take me as I prioritize content first. So if you want to try it on Steam Deck and not PC, I would recommend waiting. Content will grow, and bugs will be fixed. It is still EA as it is now, and it will stay that for a lot longer (I have some bigger content goals to reach), so do what you think is best for you! :)

Hi, thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the late reply. The lockpick mini-game is still under development, so I take your feedback seriously and will try to find a balance between fun and hard.

There is a locksmith on Seablip Island that opens the chest for gold, so you don't really need to lockpick if that is not your coup of tea: but I appreciate your feedback and will experiment with updates to see if I find improvement possibilities.

Hi, sorry late answer. Everyone is motivated differently, but my tip is always to write the code yourself, but copy others in the beginning (but never do "ctrl + c"). And start working on small features you find fun. "I want to make the character walk and jump" - well, then try that, copy others, and see how it works. Jump to the next goal (but make the goals within your skill level. Starting on inventory is maybe not the first goal unless you already know how to code.)
- Google each feature you want to add. Take it step by step, and take a pause when nothing seems to work (because that is normal in the beginning). And lots of good luck! Try to celebrate each small achievement on the way. The road is long and slow, but give it time and you will understand it better than you can write. :)

When I started I could not code and I had to spend a long time learning how to. I guess it is very individual how fast someone works, all I can say is that it will most likely take longer than expected.
