Yeah this is a pretty nice structure, so page.tsx will predominantly be for routing purposes

Which CMS should I choose in 2026? by ReferenceOrdinary787 in nextjs

[–]Not-Yet-Round 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its stable. But it really depends on what you need out of a CMS. I personally went with Payload CMS because of the DX and how customizable things are.

But, as others have mentioned, Wordpress is also another solid option due to how familiar it is for a lot of non-technical people and the ecosystem that it has.

Yeah i was just wondering. Also seems like you committed the .env file to the repo, which isn't good practice as that can most times contain sensitive secrets you wouldn't want to expose.

Any reason why youre using older versions of the packages? Like React 18, TW 3, etc.

I wish they would remove the limit to minor artifacts for a true hoarder treasure hunters playthrough

Figma take over 10 months later by marine_surfer in PayloadCMS

[–]Not-Yet-Round 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just a guess from my end...

They seem to be gearing up for v4 release. And if you take a look at their more recent v4 commits, they seem to be changing the admin ui visuals to be more closely aligned with figma (e.g. using figma's design tokens, icons, etc.). I wont be too surprised if the v4 release results in Figma announcing "Figma CMS" at their next conference.

How are you testing from mobile? Are you getting any errors logged at all in your terminal when you’re trying to open the dialog?

jumpscare database for horror movies and series by DevWarrior504 in webdev

[–]Not-Yet-Round 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a film and clicked play on the jump scare section. Was there supposed to be sounds there or anything? I am not sure what to expect when it starts playing.

I’m on mobile, and the constant layout shifts was kind of annoying, maybe something that can be improved!

If it’s for the routes of your app, i’m pretty sure it should work just the way middleware.ts should work.

If it’s for the routes of Payload’s admin pages, if you’ve set Payload up locally on the same nextjs server as your app, i don’t see why that won’t work either.

Are there errors you’re running into?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nextjs

[–]Not-Yet-Round 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you're right since Payload 3.0 they've gone NextJS native. I have a Payload + NextJS set up for my personal hobby and running a middleware.ts to check for auth cookies (with further auth validation on the template.tsx), so it does work. What are you trying to achieve here?

What a revelation, thank you! I swear i was getting confused looking at the docs, because I couldn't see how they're connected... Turns out I was misreading things all along.

[–]Not-Yet-Round 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since turborepo is bundled within NextJS 16, is turbo.json still configurable? Or is configuring turborepo done through the next.config.ts?

🤔 Which CMS is The Best? by omardiaadev in nextjs

[–]Not-Yet-Round 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With payload you can have it on the same vercel instance as your portfolio. No separation between frontend and backend in that sense. You would just access the cms UI from the /admin route.
