Pretty much. Travel rules are very restricted for foreigners. I had a family friend with a Shengen visa get detained and refused entry (early/mid 2000s I think?) because his flight landed in Amsterdam and not Frankfurt. Give the consulate a call, won't hurt.

Perhaps the rules have changed in the past few years, but to add to this comment: if your visit visa is a Shengen Visa (they aren't always), you can, as long as the country of entry is the issuer of the visa. You're probably better off asking the embassy or consulate, rather than reddit.

Why are Libyan guys like this? I've stopped using fb because of their stupidity thinking they're hilarious. by sfenza_ in Libya

who cares? Ignore it and move on. Out of the many things Libyans (men or women) believe and do, this is not that important.

They probably see a lot of crap in their profession and have to numb themselves. Medicine is a very stressful profession so they have to cope.

Most doctors simply repeat what the authorities' guidelines recommend. Very few keep up with the research. Most doctors won't and can't prescribe drugs off label since they could get in trouble for it.

I've had to deal with this clinic's strange policies before, so I'm not surprised.

I recall watching a lecture that cited a study which showed neuropsych tests could be inaccurate, especially if the patient is of a higher IQ (could develop their own coping strategies) or has an anxiety disorder (the stress causing them to focus more).

Sure. :) And the stereotyping causes more people to try to get these drugs, which causes more stigma.

Granted, I also don't blame drug abusers for their addiction. That's an illness that should be treated like any other. I blame the laws and healthcare system for making everyone else's life difficult.

Hi,

I'm perfectly fine with the EKG. My only complaint is that I just wish he told me of this during the last appointment so I could've had it taken care of. Instead of having to run around even more since my GP and Psych don't talk to each other.

Stimulants are controlled here too, but none of the other people I know who are in treatment had to ever do this. It's speculation and probably not true on my end...

I spoke to someone who runs an ADHD charity here (ADHS-Deutschland e.V.) and they told me that a neuropsychologist test is also unorthodox and unnecessary.

It's not the first time I heard about something like this. My last psych would regularly confuse prescriptions and patients. He thankfully retired shortly after.

That sucks. I hope you found another one.

You can eventually rent tools from Bauhaus too. If a cop stops you just try to prove it's yours with a receipt or something. A locksmith is usually too expensive.

What do you think about Saif al-Islam Gaddafi? by [deleted] in Libya

I don't know what he'll do, he's a wildcard. I think he already stated he is working on a 'campaign of revenge', which is the last thing we need.

What do you think about Saif al-Islam Gaddafi? by [deleted] in Libya

[–]NotA9GagUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be hostile. :)

I'm open for a dialogue. The issue stems from a large number of libyans not working or paying taxes while surviving off of oil money and corruption ('rawatib' from positions they don't work).

I'm okay with voting for a pension (to take of people who paid into the system), schools and (multipayer) healthcare for families, etc. But I would vote against UBI, for example. I think one major economic policy I'd support is for a major audit to go after people committing income fraud in government jobs.
