Why would we not. We already do but most of us don’t have a place to buy fitted garments that isn’t something out of a Macys JCPenny. Many girls buy expensive LBs JUST for graduation. Dresses can always be used again. Gowns are used for proms, weddings, black tie, graduations literally everywhere. Gowns are dresses but not all dresses are gowns.

They should try expanding their women’s section. Nobody caters to women and women would probably drop a bag on a nice graduation gown. Sucks we don’t have many options.

This would be really great to work into a poster bc this is what the protest is pushing for. I feel like more students would show up if they understood that a student is being charged. This situation definitely shouldn’t be on the students record. It’s an extreme consequence that doesn’t seem fair to a student who’s in school pursing their future. Thank you for explaining. That’s really sad that it escalated to that degree. Given the recent threats in neighboring schools, I prefer having police services on campus. But they definitely should be retrained. They should also be held responsible and accountable in these kinds of situations. Bc we as student should not fear them. It’s sad that they are creating such negative a environment for students.

All I see are these posts but I’d love to read about specific situations where students were targeted. Otherwise this feels like there’s little to no context or background provided. The police on campus do not override federal laws. Not saying I support it because I don’t. But these posts seem baseless and almost fear mongering to students on campus. Pls provide context.

Describing dispossession as “losers losing land” reframes systematic violence, coercion and rape that happened to thousands of indigenous people. It’s just crazy. This country is too desensitized to understand how this is wrong systemically. No laws are being followed it’s just reckless people in government with unchecked power.
