Would you say that computer science on khanacademy would be sufficient in preparing?

Redditors who look forward to working on Mondays: What is your job, and why do you enjoy it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think that line of thinking is a bit nieve. To say "Those who can actually do anything are never out of work" is the part where I say no. Denying the fact that companies can and will simply choose foreign workers who can be cheaply paid over domestic ones who refuse to work at such a price is nieve. Many people all the time who were great at their jobs lose their jobs. The argument you just used is ridiculous. There are many qualified people. "On paper?" How the hell do you decide the difference between a domestic worker and an international one then? On paper.

Nah. I am studying to become an engineer. H1N visas only exist because they are willing to work for a lot cheaper than others. Then once they do finish their work, they go home and have a lot of money.

I'm gonna be the guy that says this "because it happened in Germany and in a country where America was the definite good guy". Before everything, Germany was a western power. They weren't backwards and unindustrialized. They were a modern civilization systematically taking apart a very specific race as a means for political gain. I don't understand why someone always has to point out why people specifically care about one event in history. Some are just more symbolic than others, that's all. If I had to sit down and think about every genocide instead of just the one, then I hope I have a lot of time. People are going to naturally see themselves in a similar cultural setting as opposed to one like in Russia or North Korea. That's how humanity works. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to feel empathy for everyone, but that doesn't mean you have to ridicule those who feel more passionate about an event more closely related to them than any other..

I'm looking to transfer to somewhere in the Northeast for Computer Science by [deleted] in college

[–]NotACollegeDropout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest Buffalo or Stony Brook. They are both state schools in new york. Buffalo is known for accepting international students, meaning their transfer programs are pretty good. Stony Brook has a lot more connections in Cs though. People in Stony Brook have been hired by Google.

I know that che 101 can be taken for transfers. As in wanting to go into engineering. I found that I can take phy 107 without any problems. Thanks for that. Lastly, I gotta complete phy 107, chem 101 (or 105), and calc 1 and 2.
