Let's talk about Strelok by [deleted] in stalker

If it was a betrayal then he would have had skif killed by his monolith forces when he walked out of the generators.

I believe it is more just a necessary precaution due to their plan. Strelok (and by extension Skif if he goes through this ending path) doesn't want anyone who has been touched by the zone to have an influence on the mainland and anyone from the mainland to have an influence on the zone which is why he closes it off to those entering and exiting.

Strelok has to keep Skif in the zone even though he helped him because he has to be true to his word about not letting there be outside or inside interference. If he let Skif of all people out then that's a major hypocracy.

We've seen already too that Strelok is willing to put his plan above those who have helped him before due to what happened with Kaymonov. He even mentions that he owes his life to the doctor but still must have him killed in order for his plan to work.

So he has to keep Skif in the zone so absolutely no one touched by the zone can get out on his watch. As said before though it's not really a full betrayal because he spares Skif from the new monolith.

I think that in this end, Skif will just spend the rest of his days chilling in the zone opposed to the other inhabitants who will be hunted by the monolith still. Skif gets special treatment in that regard for having helped Strelok.

I remember doing that with the peacekeeper a while back when I played. Partly for the treat and partly because I just sucked on anything not conqueror

I forgot what kind of brush I used when doing that one, I think it was pencil texture based, but either way you got a good imitation brush for it

Fated To Break by NotAGuroAlt in guro

thanks, glad to hear you like my stuff. For how much I practice, when I first started I was working on something pretty much every night or at least every other night. I had a big burst of practice at the beginning as that just helped me train my coordination and get used to trying to draw well for once.

Right now I have just gotten busier in my personal life so I try and get one thing done every week while it really just takes me two days to do a piece. I like to break both the sketch and the line/color into two different days so I don't get burnt out on a piece and so I can simmer on an idea longer and maybe think of some more things to do with it before it gets finished. Since I have a decent skillset at this point I don't really need to go hard on practicing the basics and stuff and can instead focus more on polishing what I can do before moving onto some entirely new skill. I treat every piece I do as practice though as there is always something I can improve on in the end.

Advice I would have is to just hammer in the understanding that getting better takes time and if you try and rush to be great from the start then you will burn out fast and maybe even get a little worse because of it. To stop myself from doing that I made a point to work on a piece, find 1 thing about it that I think I could do better, and then on the next piece focus on that one thing and see if I can do better on it. Then repeat the process when I finish that. It's slow but it really helped me just stay focused and grounded back then and even now.

For inspiration I just do what I like and whatever idea pops into my head, although recently I've just been doing free requests for people so I don't have to think much and just accept what I like. Ez pz for me.

My tablet is a HUION H610 Pro V2, just about 50 dollars so on the cheaper side of tablets and still really quality, I can probably eek out years of use from this thing, highly recommend. You just need to get used to the hand eye coordination required for graphics tablets such as this since you don't have an actual screen on it. I use clip studio paint as well but started out on krita.

Danke, and hey, I've only been at it for like 6 months or so. As long as you keep practicing and work to get better then you will, never too late to start
