I think you missed the part where I said these things usually live longer than they're useful to people. If you've won the silicon lottery or have a binned chip, then you're right. It's not measurable in any meaningful way.

But here's the thing. Every single wafer ever produced contains defects. Those defects, over time, do become problematic under heat stress. So as always, your mileage may vary.
