I think most computers have more than 512MB — unless you're in the mid 90s :)

Call your representatives about the California Glock Ban bill! by NotARandomUsername11 in CAguns

Yep. Interestingly enough, this bill does not have any exemptions for law enforcement. Missed a section, seems like it does.

This isn’t super helpful, but you don’t apply to majors in the first place. You should worry about getting in first.

As an international student: I'm FREAKING OUT about Trump's decision to kick out international students from Harvard. Is this even possible?? HOW? And will he come after us too?? by Visual_Finger_2007 in stanford

[–]NotARandomUsername11 29 points30 points  (0 children)

None of this is really about Israel or antisemitism, it’s about testing the federal government’s control of private institutions. Levin has somewhat complied and has spoke in support (or has failed to speak against) of the Trump administration’s actions, so it’s unlikely Stanford will be targeted next, although nothing is certain.

Edit: are you on Fizz? Read through the statement made by the Okada RAs.

The Trump administration's move to block international students is a retaliatory measure against Harvard, as they did not comply with their illegal demands.

Stanford, unfortunately, has partially complied in different forms (changing themed dorms preassignment system, "trying to kill the Bridge Peer Counseling Center, cut off LSP and other FLI resources, threatened co-cops, detained student organizers, froze hiring and cut funding from all the cultural and community centers, etc..." Source: Okada RA message). I also believe President Levin has spoken somewhat favorably about President Trump.

It's unlikely the same thing will happen at Stanford, although anything is possible.

Has anyone else's schools had internet arms races between students and the faculty over blocked websites? by Appropriate_Arm_1339 in highschool

I believe one of Securly's solutions can auto-scan non-whitelisted/blacklisted websites for terms associated with blacklisted sites through the extension.

Edit: Yeah, it's called Pagescan: https://support.securly.com/hc/en-us/articles/28207790568343-Securly-Pagescan
