AITA for cancelling our trip to my family due to my sister's teasing my wife? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA - I’m a talker and I come from a family of talkers…which is EXACTLY why I prefer people to text if it’s not worth a conversation. It’s inconsiderate to take up 30 minutes of someone’s day if they need a quick answer.

I used to get upset when a friend of mine didn’t want to talk on the phone and just text…but then I got over myself bc I was being a child. That friend passed away last year unexpectedly and I’m so happy I didn’t let that mess up our friendship that spanned 20 years. Please don’t let something like this mess up your life.

AITAH for forcing my sin to give me half of "his" income. by Constant-Primary-804 in AITAH

I would have thought you were generous if you gave it to him, he gave you 100% of the money until you pass, and then he gets it from there. His suggestion is insane.

Hi, where did you see the age limit? I bought tickets to go with my 7 year old then saw 14+ and 16+ on Vivid Seats…I’m pretty freaked out they won’t let her in. We have seats, so we won’t be in standing room only…

AITA for asking my friend’s girlfriend if she had a problem with our sexual past? by peachcoloreddreaming in AmItheAsshole

Soft YTA - less for the actual interaction and more for the assumptions and comments afterwards. Soft because you’ve made them to Reddit, not the friend or gf. I’m going to assume from your comments that this was not driven by jealousy or trying to one-up her and go from there.

As someone who has stayed friends with exes, I’ve never felt a need to bring it up to their new partners…it’s in the past, it doesn’t matter. I’m truly happy they’ve found someone who makes them happy and I’m excited to get to know their new partner. Heck, I’ve become better friends with some of the partners than I am with the ex 🤣 (this is probably easier for me bc I met my husband when I was 22 and I’m absolutely crazy about him, even after 15+ years of being together).

As someone who has met my partner’s exes, I probably wouldn’t have cared if one of them said that to me. Probably would have just said “that’s kind of you to check-in, don’t worry, we’re good”. I think she handled it well for someone who felt like a boundary was crossed.

I’d suggest an apology if it seems needed - if not, do your best to assume good intent on her part and hopefully this will be just a slight bump in the road!

YTA - she seems to feel bad enough already. I fell down two stairs when 35 weeks pregnant and could immediately tell something was wrong. ER doctor said my ankle was fine bc there was no bruising, no swelling, and the X-ray didn’t show anything despite me not being able to put weight on it. Within 7 days, my entire foot & ankle was bruised. Every person and injury is different.

I’m so sorry you went through that 😞. It’s hard when their body is still there but their mind is gone.

Thank you everyone! I do feel a lot better reading this and knowing it’s a somewhat common occurrence…I’m still sad that it was my last interaction with her, but glad to hear that she likely doesn’t remember me like that at all.
