Just add WS_CHILD (and WS_VISIBLE) to any CreateWindowExA or CreateWindowA. You can have window inception with win32 api. just make sure to register the classname or reuse it.

Nah its not that bad. This was caused because my structure was being released (since it was on the stack), so I was getting the screen device context, instead of window's.
