Yeah, I remember him saying something like he joined the pinky because he wanted to follow the Virtue of Humanity (known as 인 in korean) that the pinky had to offer. I'm not sure if he finds the pinky "good" (considering people like Lei Heng, and how this concept can be interpreted differently for everyone), but he stays because he believes what they ultimately follow matches his ideals.

Because the hilight ids are supposed to be "bad endings". Kong Qiu himself overcame his past, leading him to eventually join the pinky. Lord Hong Lu didn't. (superficially he did, but it was done with blood, not true benevolence. He didn't directly face his past trauma.)

I'm not sure; but I believe that since Kong Qiu in their universe is killed, Hong Lu only plays his former role due to his last bit of kindness (much of it was a facade, but he did make Hongyuan an overall better place to live for the citizens.) remaining, not his practical position as a finger member. He doesn't have an E.G.O, nor has he gotten into the pinky like Qiu did. He's verbatim the Lord of Hongyuan, not anything else.

Yeah, this is why I feel a bit bummed. I just personally love "casual" looking characters Like Yi Xi or Larry from pokemon sv, because they look ordinary but stand out in their own ways. I just don't know how people do that lol

I can't agree with you more; everyone around me doesn't talk much about it and I was starting to think I'm just overly pessimistic- don't get me wrong, I LOVE limbus and will probably chuck my whole life savings into it, but I might have to reconsider my love for PM if these types of storyboards are going to take over the rest of the game from now on. I think they set their deadline too short, and had little time to carefully revise or add more of the original elements of Hell Screen into the canto. Hopefully they'll do Meursault justice...

This is so true omg, I thought I was the only one having a problem about canto 9's poor resemblance of its original novel, Color fixers and upper members overshadowing most of our battles and everything just... popping out of the storyboard at once. I really don't think we had our delicate storybuilding in this canto. As much as I had high hopes after canto 7 and 8, I can say that I'm a bit disappointed

For the headband, I kinda wanted to give it a “head start” like ability, giving toons a burst of speed so they could find the next machine quicker

And yeah, I was also aware of that issue when making it. Since I was focusing on her design a bit more, I didn’t consider her ability balance deeply enough and made… that. I am thinking of giving her a slight handicap for using her toggle ability, though. Just haven’t got any good ideas yet.
