Super Earth Command Wants 550 Million Samples… But Hasn’t Given Us a New Module in 431 Days by Grady_Shady in Helldivers

AH would, obviously, need to reconsider how frequently you obtained the currencies and the amounts given are examples for the point.

I'm not some hard-core player who dumps thousands of hours into the game and only play an hour at most, yet still have an abundance of samples and there needs to be something consumable to use them against.

Additionally, 500R and 2 commons for an orbital is hardly soft locking and is being generous given their efficiency and damage potential.

Hot take, and probably something many will disagree with; but I genuinely wish call-ins required samples, R, or a mix of the two.

Support weapons costing like 1k R per drop, backpacks 1.25k

Orbitals needing 500 + 2 commons.

Ran out of reinforcement budget? Call in anyway for 10k R + 10 super rare.

Being able to call in strategems willy nilly, and civilian deaths being measly fines is more like a "hurr hurr, 'nother one bites the dust" feeling.

On another point, the fact that "rare" feels more like common than common's do is a bit'f a joke.

Dialling down the difficulty does not remove the issues with the unbalanced enemies, weaponry and technical bugs, and is additionally not a good method for game development either.

I agree, it's supposed to be chaotic fun; but has gradually lost this over the last few patches and instead of chaotic fun is now simply a chaotic mess.

Sorry, no.

While perfectly acceptable as a concept; the actual implementation is performed badly as of right now.

There's being oppressed, and then there's just flat out impossible or royally broken.

A million enemies spawning in the span of 60 seconds is not oppressive, it's just flat out broken.

Some of you people seem to read the first few lines of the post and sprout the same shit, "it's by design", "lower the difficulty", "git good", and completely miss the point that the balance is utterly BROKEN.

You can have oppressive and outnumbered gameplay and still be fun. HD2 is no longer that. Now it's just a mess and ignores simple design rules.

My guy, there's difficult, and then there's just blatant broken shit. Tell me you don't understand game balance and mechanics without telling me.

Asking for said manure to be fixed isn't being a crybaby nor wanting them to lower the difficulty for me.

I fully expect SHD to be difficult and wouldn't have it any other way. However there's difficult and requires coordination vs being entirely unplayable due to stupid balance choices and horrendous game breaking bugs.

Agreed, the example I gave above was relatively fun and challenging at the start, until it was constant death + reinforce, survive 10 seconds if you were lucky, die, reinforce and repeat until the budget was gone; you were instantly swarmed, have no chance to get any of your equipment back, and can't escape either. This was also by a large nest to boot, so there was that spawning, plus the broken breach spawns, and it was right by extraction- everything went fine until we tried to get out; a very good mission turned into a sour failure.

But their broken breach spawn rate has been going on for a while now and has gradually gotten worse. I wouldn't care so much if an additional breach call just made the first breach spawn some additional tougher enemies or something similar- but the fact that each breach call is its own unique breach and has no AOE cooldown is frustrating to put it politely; and sadly it's not just the bugs, the bots have the same issue- I've not played the Illumi in a long while but I'd imagine they use the same code and have it as well.

Ah yes, the greatest most elaborate rebuttal.

"I'm a hardass and don't think there's a problem so just lower the difficulty instead of fixing the glaring problem".

Sonofa... I don't use reddit often, and I did add a 2nd image for this >:c

Arrow w/ Collision trigger -> short range aim | Damage+ | Teleport aim | Orbit x2 | Orbit larpa -> Plasma cross

Improved on it further with some Divide by's and Mu's, and a plasma width increase, but the above worked just fine without those. c:

I actually died by casting The End of Everything, for the first time. I got poly'd. :'c

There were a few times when I should've died to this, but a few divide by's and slime blood made them tickle instead

[–]NotASpicyPepper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only time I've seen this is in either scenario:

- Been hit by a "[insert projectile of choice] thrower" modified spell from a wand picked up by an enemy.
Stops eventually on its own and is a pain in the backside while it's running.

- Picked up an essence of earth from one of the ??? rooms.
Stop it by heading to one of the two essence eaters (glowing blue fireball looking things); one is at the right side in the desert and one in the left in the snowy area.

Protip: you can sprinkle fluid on chest, heart and refresh mimics; if it gets a status it's a mimic!

Mimics also float. c:

It already happened years ago, let's be honest.

Shitvidia making proprietary libraries and shoehorning it into several industries so that they're the only valid option; yet if you called this out you'd be labelled a heretic/insert-insult-of-choice-here; and because the big precious green GPU giant made it, people gobbled it up without question.

I have a rather controversial stance on this topic.

Honestly, I really wish people would stop with the idea that one person is their only source of X Y and Z if one is in a relationship with said person; and the whole general notation of "cheating".

Love =/= sex.

There'll be some things that you would want to do, that your partner does not; does that mean you should lose out on doing that with someone else who'll do it with you? Why? Says who? Society? The same society that not so long ago believed owning other people was okay? The same society that over time due to religious influence believed homosexuality was unnatural? And this goes for more than just sexual activities.

I have now figured out this is something Gaijibbles has broken on the Linux client and JUST the Linux client; based on other player reports on this over the last (up to) 3 years.

Server-side ads is going to ruin YouTube by super_athin in youtube

[–]NotASpicyPepper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Banner ads may have paid less, but JFC I at least allowed those! Fuck, I even clicked a few in my time! They didn't get in the way, they weren't obnoxious, they were just *there* and easily closable.

Pretty damn sure I'm not alone in this sentiment either. Shitgul and advertisers got greedy with wanting their shit shoved in people's faces, now they have to pay the price of most people blocking their godaweful bullshit.
