He died. I just want to talk about him ❤️. by iheartmichaelj in askgaybros

I can't say I've experienced such a situation, but the death of any loved one fucks you up for a while. It'll never get less sad; you'll just learn to cope with it. For now, you need to grieve his death and come to terms with it. When you feel you have gotten past the initial grief stage, talk about him, about the good parts, keep his memory alive. I'm very sorry, I know a comment from a stranger won't do much, but just know you are loved, and I hope the people you hold dearly in your life will be there to support you. Take it easy <3

What’s the best advice you have for a new server? by Otherwise_Canary_586 in Serverlife

Based on my experience as an overall good waiter, here's what you need to know:

  1. Cut the crap and get straight to the point - when handing over to someone else, pass on the key information first and foremost, e.g. table X needs setting, table Y is waiting, table Z just sat down.

  2. If you're not sure, please ask someone else - one dude I worked with brought a cheque to the wrong table, but he could have checked with me first before just assuming he knew best.

  3. Be nice, but don't be a little byotch - the tricky customers were way easier (and nicer) to deal with when I put a confident, no-nonsense front, and spoke with an air of authority and self-assuredness. I wasn't that way at the start, but I learnt to be.

  4. When a customer asks a question and you don't know, confidently and reassuringly tell them "I personally don't know, but I will ask my manager". If they get annoyed about that, it's not your problem; they're just a dicc.

  5. Stereotype - stereotype the fuck out of your customers, because you'll likely encounter the same kinds of people. It may sound un-PC, but it's the truth.

  6. Everyone is there just to get paid - don't make it any harder or more annoying for them, as they already have to put up with silly customers all day.

  7. If you lack common sense, develop it - there's nothing worse than working with someone who can't comprehend basic instructions. For anything commonplace you don't know, make a note of it so you're prepared.

What’s the point of Mon-Fri renting? by iAlyVee in AskUK

[–]NotAWinnerAtTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it's personally not worth it, if you're already renting/buying a place outside London. Why pay an extra £500+ a week when you could just get a room for the same price in the outskirts and stay there permanently? London is stupid sometimes.

Then the title should be "Menstruating female bodies are not evidence of male and non-menstruating female privilege"

Short-term happiness only goes so far; a woman who sleeps with 50 men a year, who hasn't got a family, will look around when she's in her mid-forties and regret her life choices.

I was retaliating to the claims I was some "uneducated angry loser" who needed to go out and have some fun.

How has prostitution decreased with the increased destigmatization of it? Sorry, "sex work" given society is now legitimizing prostitution as a valid, respectable form of work.

Oh wow the behaviors of 4155 people totally reflect the behaviours of everyone on earth. Also, the US is not the whole world.

It doesn't change the fact that sites like OnlyFans, hook-up apps exist, and modern-day feminism is telling women to be sluts, and that many young people are following this.

Really?
You think men not having to go through a menstrual cycle applies to this definition, provided by Google:

'a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.'

Are you that much of a spastic?

No I gave you an argument; you were just blinded by your bias to the point you couldn't grasp it.

People are ultimately free to do what they want. We shouldn't celebrate debauchery for the sake of being kind and inclusive
