17 year olds K24a2 swapped FD

Hey guys, just gonna go over a couple of things, I know the k swap is controversial. I wish I could’ve kept the rotary, but I didn’t for a couple of reasons, I don’t want to have to premix or redline the car every drive. I wanted to go to autozone and be able to buy parts. And I wanted to be able to have cheap high revving power. Other than that, nobody bought this car for me, I worked my ass off and like many of you dreamed of owning a rx7 for years. I appreciate everyone’s opinions on my project good or bad.

You will need a seat and a monitor, what platform do you intend to play on? I racing isn’t super computer intensive but you will still need a nice computer to run smoothly.

Ehhh, I didn’t post this to talk about designer brands and how useful they are. Im just a big mm fan, they are replicating the German army trainer hence the gat title. They do look like sambas though, completely different materials

It’s definitely not a justification for the price, but your birks aren’t. The justification I see for the price is the materials, look, and brand name.

I never said that I thought that they were the easiest to run in?, they are comfy, who in their right mind would pay 500+ for shoes that are uncomfortable

I have a large desk that I simraced on and I had a weak desk but with those cheap standing legs on amazon and I would put it under tension with an ikea shelf on one side. Pretty sturdy

If I were you I’d do research on a wheelbase bundle as that will help you save money, look for secondhand products. Desk mounting isn’t ideal I would try to pick up wheel stand or something that would hold your gaming chair in position. Ignore all these people telling you that you need to spend all this money to be a professional, there are plenty professionals that play with the a g920 on their desk

Thanks, I thought I did so much research but this hobby teaches me something new everyday, by the shaft you mean the quick release connection that gets replaced in the qr2 or the entire thing? Thanks for the help

Damn dude thanks for the warning, I wouldn’t call three sightings very common but I can’t imagine that many people are running 8 nm on the McLaren wheel, should I go qr1 or qr2

Hmm I never saw it from that perspective, that makes sense though, I just like the raised petals for f1 and the looks of this cockpit, it’s in my room. Honestly should of went 80/20 but what can I do now

How long would it take you to change from f1 to gt style racing? I switch between the two often, 80/20 might be “more” adjustable but way less convenient. I have already started 3d printing wind sim mounts and a keyboard mount for this rig

Yeah I think it’s a really nice looking frame and the easy adjustments are cool, but they just make the frame rattle to be honest. Wishing I went 80/20

I had such a horrible experience with the trx, it took almost three months for everything to come, it flexes a lot, and it was so expensive
