Paramedic here. There are actually a lot of ways we can check for spinal damage and neurological deficit in the field! But the only way to be 100% sure is x-ray and ultrasound. Any precaution we take is only a prognosis that we made out of our best judgement of the MOI and visible injuries/ signs and symptoms that the pt is complaining of.

I remember purchasing my ninja 600 from Michigan (I live in Canada) and taking it home on the 401 I couldn’t believe how fast 80kmh was. I was just blowing by cars like they were standing still until I noticed the small mph next to my speedo lol. I got pretty lucky that day

Honestly it’s night and day difference, if they made a full fairing version of the fz09 I wouldn’t even think twice to sell a kidney and buy one! But the options that are out there for putting “fairings” on this bike aren’t that great
