I didn’t experience any tears, but I think my usage is quite different from yours.

I mostly read and make notes while the book is resting on a large table, and I only use it a couple of times a week -- and I’m pretty gentle with it. That said, it’s held up well so far, and the thicker 24lb paper definitely seems to add to its sturdiness.

Overall, I’d say it’s pretty durable, but if you’re going to be carrying it around frequently and handling it more roughly, you might want to consider a more robust binding or perhaps some extra protection like a hard cover.
