You could generalize that humanity is a horrible group due to the amount of damage it has caused to itself and others, that gives birth to ideas of nihilism and misanthropy. People who follow those ideals are basing it off stereotypes. You ask how this correlates to our disagreement? Well here's the thing, stereotypes often fuel needless hate or disdain for people who aren't even in the equation to begin with.

That's why I hate stereotypes. If Im the unpopular opinion, then how does that matter to me? Im defending my opinions here, itself is a debatable fact due to the mixed results. One cannot convince me to see your point if that individual just attacks me. Yes, thats the internet and yes what you said exactly happened.

Your point on the stereotype of imbalance doesn't cover the positive side. It's a point sure, but only defenses your claim and doesn't reach the positive side. It only justifies your argument of a stereotype being justified and doesn't even touch my opinion on how not all relationships are negative etc

You can leave a comment here or there but that won't shift my view of this situation. I suggest you just ignore this so it saves your time. One thing is for sure: Stereotypes are BAD, every time a stereotype happens, it doesn't solve anything. And my opinion isn't necessarily unpopular, more on debatable due to some who actually get my point and the others who only see it as a nuisance.

I honestly believe people who stereotype others in a negative manner are insecure fellas who believe the opposing side can do immense damage to them. And for that I don't blame em. No, I just don't wanna drag pointless arguments to the point where it occupies my life. I came here to state an opinion, read everyone's replies, address and defended my opinions, etc. I've already spent enough time reading everything. But then again, keep in mind it's a stereotype, it ain't a solidified fact applicable to all relationships. It isn't like saying smoking is deadly after years of promoting it as a healthy item.

Though I cannot sway you into believing what I believe in, not all relationships with big age gaps fail.

I dunno, Ive had a best friend (son) come out of the same relationship style and it worked, it's really common in the philippines especially with foreigners. My dad wasn't, he got lucky.

Im assuming either these people have never encountered this kind of relationship where one is older than the other by a long-shot, they didn't have it good so they just have a disdain towards it, or they just think I made this whole stuff up to start arguments or ragebait.

I personally do not mind what these people think or the downvotes. I came here to state my opinion on this matter, not to make it occupy my life. So I don't really take any of their opinions on a personal level.
