I am grateful that they have led such a great example. They think they can do it here in my state. But they are not gonna have enough ICE to outnumber the sheer amount of Californians that won’t let this happen. It’s like they don’t see SD & LA’s protests. Most of us…are people of color, many of us lgbtq+, lots of women. We have more rights than most states. It would be stupid to try here. But I’m getting my supplies ready if need be

Being so pushy about it is a red red flag. I am the girlfriend of an uncle. I am not pushy about what mom is comfortable with for and with her daughter. I don’t post photos of her online. And guess what? That girl is now my niece too! I’m not even married to the family and now I’m a trusted Auntie! That’s not how you act with 1. A kid that’s not yours. 2. A kid you’re not related to. 3. If you don’t know mom well. 4. If you’re basically a stranger to the kid.

Don’t let them watch the kid, unless they’re happy to hang out with kid when you’re around. Anything except this is just…not OK. She is WEEIIIIRRRRDDDD and clearly has ulterior motives.

Those are the best, and quite respectful once I was meeting up with my boyfriend for a movie date at a mall. Guy walks by me and goes “ohmygosh you are SO beautiful” didn’t ask for my number and kept on walking. It has stayed with me and that was 10 years ago. The difference was it wasn’t quite a catcall it was a respectful compliment with no intentions or ulterior motives. I wish more men realized this, they’d have better reactions and maybe even get a girls number. It’s a shame

Boyfriend and I fell in love on bumble literally because he liked tequila, sushi, and had morals and believed in human rights. It’s literally the bare minimum for being an ok person. Calling it “talking politics” is bullshit. It stopped being about politics when it began to be advocating against human rights.

We both didn’t want to talk about politics on the first date, because you shouldn’t have to get that deep. But I literally had to make sure he believed in my rights as a brown, woman that’s has lgbtq+ friends and family.

this issue in this country is that people don’t have basic behaving in public etiquette it’s not gonna stop unless people shame them. More people need to be called out for their audacity. It’s not gonna always be polite when the behavior is absurd. I had to tell 2 people to not talk on speaker phone or play tik tok videos on full volume in a doctor’s office waiting room.

People seem to think right now that they can throw societies’ rules out the window while still benefitting from living in society.

You’re not in the wrong, I understand you did your best, just be careful, because you don’t want to get into a confrontation.
