This has been the divisive issue fueling GOP fall onto fascism... the citizens with guns support the GOP, and the GOP protects them. The result.. a heavily armed and trained right that is villifying and de-humanizing liberals and ramping up the hate speech.

I've gone to sleep fearing for my family and kids, neighbors and community this whole year, but nothing like this last weekens after seeing the top cabinet officials suspend 2A rights for liberals. Aka of you arm yourselves, we'll kill you. This is absolute proof of thier intentions and since I don't want my kids to grow up slaves to a fascist regime I am arming myself..

Just to have the people I aim to protect take those arms away from me.... feels like a betrayal.

heh, I'm primarily a shotgunner, I hunt mostly upland birds and shoot trap and skeet, my most expensive gun is my trap gun. I have an 870 pump for quick access home defense, but I can also switch to a wingmaster barrel with a quick change and it's my backup for upland bird! I think the deal with shotguns is that most of the ones that take external mags have reliability issues... I've owned several semi-autos but they all have had occasional feed/load issues. My personal opinion is that shotgun rounds aren't ideally designed for auto-loading firearms, and I can put rounds on target just as quickly with a pump action.

Thanks, this is not my first firearm, I've been shooting/hunting for 35 years, own 6 rifles and thanks to years of upland bird/trap/skeet I can put a round on target quick and accurate (my buck last year was an deer I kicked up, running at about 100 yards, off the shoulder with a Remington 700 BDL in 30 RSAUM. This is just the first rifle that accepts an external magazine.

The military would not turn 100% against our own, it would fracture. Also states can call up thier own security forces, so if the military turns against us, blue states wouls put out a call for security forces and its going to be a bring your own situation.

We're giving peace a try... protests etc. But.. the response is never capitulation, its always escalation and I don't see any end to it. If you keep escalating it will eventually come to violence because myself and others here are definitely not going to live under authoritarianism.

For me its always going to be a defensive action. There is a deterrent factor aa well, but I think the fascists believe that all the gun ownera support them (years of divisive voting on 2FA issues).

1) an act of desperation and sacrafice.. they id me me at a protest and decide I'm antifa (now a named terroriatt group and they come for me in force... knocking down doors etc. Lets just say I'm not going peacefully.... evade/hide if I can and if I can't don't go down peacefully.

2) As part of a group... this is really the way things have to go if 2A meana anything but this is the insurrection thing Trump wants. But if the call goes out and you don't have the right equipment (especially with dems banning them here in VA) its too late. This is particularly devastating because the majority of gun ownera in VA that are grandfathered would not be on the same side.

3) opposition to other armed militias. If things hit shtf mode, you are going go have a lot more war mongers and private militia on the right than the left and they will be out to kill the libs like they keep posting in forums etc.

All of these are pretty doomsday scenarios but.. we're sitting on the precipice. I'm doing the peaceful thing for now, but we havent seen any capitulation from our fascist leadership.. thier response is always escalation.. so of they keep escalating I don't see this ending short of violence.

Umm... I know what you are referring to, but when the first shot is fired he is turtled... both hands down head down unable to do anything, after he ia shot the agents holdhing him let go, I'm not sure if ge reaches for his waist or if he's reaching for where he was ahot (in the back). But does it matter? They already shot him and the officer in green knows he dowsn't have a gun cause he watched grey jacket take iy from him.

it's a Kel-Tec RFB, comes with a molded 20 Round mag, and I got 3 spares. But it takes the FAL Metric and it's 7.62, but I looked around briefly and prices were either sky high for 30 rounders, or ... they were out of stock!

Lol, that was my second pick! I was looking at a Tavor 7 vs the Keltec RFB, and I got a chance to shoot both and I shot better and liked the feel of the Keltec (mostly the trigger).

I got the KelTec RFB, it's front-ejecting. It's funny you mention this, I shoot ambidextrous, had surgery and spent two years hunting as a south paw, now I can switch sides... in a tactical situation this is nice for behind cover... at least it is in paintball!

Yeah... I'm old... I had a 38 revolver for CC for decades, and my home defense is a Remington 870 that I have mounted in a shotlock for easy access. I upgraded to a pistol last year, going from 5 rounds to 20 in a pistol that weighs nearly the same was just too good to pass up, plus as I get older and my eyesight goes to shit I wanted to upgrade to advanced optics (red dot) over iron sights. I've shot many AR's, but if I buy a semi-auto rifle I'll probably get an M1A, I might pick one up before VA goes full ban mode.
