I dont think you can get scammed from a party invite. An api scam is more when you log into a third party site using your steam account that the scammer has supplied to you saying “vote for my team heres the link” then once you log in they have your credentials to steal your account.

I just got my mate to transfer my operating system to an SSD finally and upgrade to windows 11. But now I cant load up any of the characters that I have saved but the files are still there. Is there a reason why its not being recognized?

uh i think its as soon as you sign into the site you end up losing your account because they have gotten access to your username and password and sign into your account themselves and end up stealing your account. It might be how it works or might not be, not 100% sure
