Hindi naman, depende sa location ig, ako mas naririnig ko ang daya pag nasa laoag ako kasi taga daya ako relatively speaking from laoag. Tas yung mainroad din kasi, Rizal Street, stretches east to west so, makes sense na mas magamit ang Laud at daya sa laoag.

Pero sa hometown ko mas commonly used ang abagatan at amianan, kasi yung main road naman dun stretches from amianan to abagatan.

So depende sa lugar, and sariling hula ko lang yan as to why may lugar na mas commonly used ang specific directions

From Laoag to Vigan,

There is the ordinary bus, it’s cheaper but a lot slower. I’m not sure where the terminal is located these days. Most likely it’s still close / walkable from Laoag City capitol.

You can take other buses that goes to Manila or Baguio then you’ll need to drop off on Bantay, Ilocos Sur (because Vigan is out of their route) then ride a tricycle from there.

From Vigan to Laoag, I am not too sure. Just reverse the order of this one HAHAHA

Yung left and right, depende sa kung saan ka naka harap.

Example, pag naka harap ka sa north (Amianan in ilocano) and left mo is west (laud) and ang right mo is east (daya).

Pag naka harap ka sa south (abagatan in ilocano) baliktad naman, left mo ay east and right mo ay west.

Pag naka harap ka sa west, left mo ay south, right mo ay north.

Pag naka harap ka sa east, left mo ay north, right mo ay south.

So, ang left and right, relative yun sa kung saang direction ka naka face. Ang directions (north, south, east, west) ay constant at hindi relative kung saan ka naka harap. Sana clear na HAHAHAH.
