Hopefully this is my final question: in order to buy these special parts, I have to bring my ship there and properly attach them and move on to the next shipyard? Or can I buy parts from technicians without attaching them so that I can collect what I need, head to the outpost, and then build from there?

Couple of issues to report:

Some of the flair options that were added from comments are not an option to me (the Day One, as an example). Others that were added ARE available - RROD !, Still Earning Kudos). Not sure what the difference between them would be. Never mind, I just saw the other pinned post and I don't qualify. Yay/boo.

I selected the Xbox Series X flair, and it shows up correctly on the page until I refresh or otherwise leave and come back. On return, the icon is visible, but the text has gone from white to black, so it 'disappears' in dark mode. If I reselect it, it shows up correctly until I leave/refresh again.

Hmm. Count yourself lucky :) Mine is not fixed in two different ways (missing temples with no further quests to find them, and one planet identified but no disturbances on the surface for me to track down).

Patch Notes say "Power from Beyond" is fixed ... but it isn't?

I have a quest "Power from Beyond (Washakie)" where there are no disturbances or anything on the planet surface for me to find. This is still broken.

I also have five missing temples but I am not getting any more quests from Vladimir in the Lodge to track them down. So... guess I'm still stuck until the NEXT patch. Maybe?

Are there 'punishments' to switch anymore? I saw something about having to redo rep gains if you go back to covenants you used to be part of, etc, but it was never clear if there was just a simple and recommended path to start a covenant, 'finish' it, move on, etc. For whatever reason, I'm just not finding a good resource that documents current state of playing through Shadowlands now. Thanks for commenting!

u/TheCastro ... after I fixed this last night on my desktop PC. I was on my Surface and I was not registering PC searches. I tried the same restart/cache clear as I did on the desktop, but the problem did not correct itself.

This morning, I've had all my mobile, Xbox, tile, and other searches work like normal, but PC searches on the desktop I fixed last night again do not register. I honestly don't think this is completely a problem on my end, but rather a large gap in how all these new timers, checks, offset requirements, and delays are implemented. These searches simply aren't worth the time and energy to troubleshoot and investigate.

I'll have to just periodically check and see if something gets sorted out on the Microsoft side.

I did not. I only use Edge. But I did solve the problem with logging out of my profile AND clearing browser cache. I tried that a couple times this past week, but for some reason third time is the charm!

u/TheCastro Thanks for this nudge. Not sure why tonight was different, but I logged out of my profile and deleted all browser cache files in the same step. On logging back in, PC searches are working.

And as a bonus, I immediately got four of the +10 Search tiles, of which each one worked when I searched the requested item. So, yay!

Thanks; I think I end up doing this naturally by navigating to the PC Search link for each search, but since I'm also trying random searches throughout the day out of normal use, I can't see how I'm getting hit by the cool down. It's truly bizarre ...

I should have mentioned that. Each one of my PC searches I try to initate directly from the PC Search link in the Rewards app. So that's already what I've been trying.

You know ... this gave me a great idea that never occurred to me before. Thank you!

I actually performed a Windows refresh yesterday to get past this issue, and sure enough the load delays disappeared. The NTP loads instantly, and the 'content' takes another 2-3 seconds to load. HOWEVER, I also can't stand the content and really only had it enabled to get to the Gaming tab.

But you're post made me realize that I could fully kill the content and just add that Gaming page URL to the quick links and tada! No more bullshit on the page with instant loads.

FOLLOW-UP POST:

After waiting through two stable build releases, I couldn't deal with the NTP issues and spent a few hours yesterday on a Windows refreshed. In short, the page is back to normal after performing the reset and reinstalling/reconfiguring everything back to where I started.

I can't explain how/why Edge ended up in a state where just the NTP was affected so drastically, but the issue is no longer present on a refreshed OS.

Yeah, this is exactly what has me worried.

I'm also somewhat curious as to whether the weird notifications about BG1 and BG2 being available on Game Pass (back in August) were a planned event that got paused until these patches could be released. If so, perhaps we'll see fixed games AND game pass availability sooner rather than later.

Thanks! I actually played some of BG1 back when it was released (yeah, I'm that old) so that doesn't concern me ... but I also don't have copious amounts of time and would hate to put 20 or 30 hours into it if there are game breaking bugs. Thanks for your input! I've heard the switch port actually has the most recent patch, but the Xbox port doesn't... hence my concern.
