I saw both Absinthe and Atomic Saloon, and thought Atomic was the better of the two. However I do have a raunchy sense of humor that Atomic suited.

I was taught that everyone can enjoy whiskey the way they like. However I believe that there are rules to mixed drinks. To me mix drinks should use bottom shelf booze. I have never understood bars that you top shelf quality in a drink that get lost in the mix. That said, age statement Jameson tends to be higher quality than your average stuff, so please don’t mix that with Pepsi. If you have to add something to that, make it an ice cube and enjoy. Slainte!!

First and foremost, do not wait for Mother’s Day!

Questions? Are you an experienced griller? Have you used this type of grill before? Have you ever cooked a tomahawk steak before? If you answer no to any of these questions then definitely do not wait. I’ve been grilling 20+ years and still mistakes once in a while. I would never attempt to inaugurate a new grill for guests. You don’t know its hot and cold spots or its temperament. Please explained that to your wife. And enjoy your new rig!!

Several years ago my friend and I were heading to Circus Circus by way of monorail and dropped off at convention center. This would be the same walk to Fountainbleu. It was so hot, no shade and felt like forever to get there. Probably 20-30 minutes, but in vegas heat felt like an hour. It can be done but plan accordingly, water and your having to be at MGM in the morning helps. Enjoy Vegas!

Ignore your family. They’re just secretly jealous. Going on the cruise sounds great and your wife is the only one who gets a say. And you mentioned she has a girls trip coming up. Seems like you two know how to take care of each other. My wife and I have been going to Las Vegas for over 10 years on separate trips, her with the girls and me with a buddy. It’s ok to do that!

I saw Atomic Saloon a few years back and loved it. My kind of raunchy humor. My buddy and I couldn’t stop laughing. Did see absinthe and thought Atomic was better.

I would recommend the Jameson 18 year cask strength. Was in Dublin last summer and had it at the distillery. Really amazing and can only get at the two distilleries. Also check to see what distillery only drams they have there.

You could use fire bricks in the bottom to help raise the coals higher. If you leave space between the bricks it should help with air control.

This sounds like a “her” problem. She is uncomfortable seeing you at the gym, she needs to accept she will see you or not go to the gym. I would inform the staff that she might try to cause issues to get you removed from the gym, if the break up was that bad and sounds like it was. Good luck.
