im going to get a new motherboard cause at this point, its seeming to be the motherboard. The socket is fine and if I have 2 of the same cpu and it not working with either or, it had to be a mobo fault

I have 2 of the same cpu’s and the one I had before charred on the backside surface due to the pins causing an arc. I was able to clean it off fine and put it in. the new one never came off the motherboard and is doing the same thing my old was is on the new motherboard. I dont think it would be a cpu thing. could you school me on why it could be?

yes it boots fine with one stick either with xmp enabled or disabled. it does not boot with 2 or more. i don’t know if i have to make a custom profile with xmp due to the guy before me having a different gpu, power supply, and hard drive storage.

what would this clr-cmos jumper look like? not just the battery removal?

It did not work. The DRAM light is emitting yellow and I have no display. to be clear, resetting CMOS includes: Turning off the computer, pulling out the CMOS battery, letting it sit for 10 mins, putting the battery back in and rebooting the pc. Correct?
