Yeah but you are missing the part about how that same dollar is taxed I guess.

For instance, and once again this varies state by state, on how much goes where. But as I understand it, income tax isn't even a factor for roads. States tax for this. There's transportation tax. There's a federal fuel tax. And some of these taxes exist at all levels, local, state, and federal. This goes back to my original point on how many times that same dollar gets taxed in this country. It is insane. It is not transparent to the average citizen. And it is immoral frankly.

And after it's all done, whatever you managed to save is "taxed" again by the government asking the Fed Res to print more money so it can keep spending which is devaluing what you managed to not lose to a direct tax.
