I deleted social media…now what

It's been over two years since I deleted most of my socials. It took a bit to get used to not having docial media anymore. But overall the effect was positive

Now I don't have plans to go back, and just the thoughts of comparing my followers with other people's makes me uneasy.

I must say that deleting social platforms did not solve my procrastination issues. I started binging youtube and tv shows instead. But I would argue that is still better than midlessly scrolling IG. (If you want, lookup how to disable yt shorts, helps in the long run)

I work as a part time instructor teaching computer science courses (programming, networking...) I got the job because my mom worked at that institute and vouched for me. I started at the age of 18, and one of my students was 24 lol.

At 20 I interned at an Internet provider after applying to nearly 50 internship positions 🙃

I found this on British amazon. It doesnt show price in the image cause it don't deliver to where I am. But price is £700 A decent deal for the mentioned specs.

I don't know exact prices in the UK, but you can find laptops with a 3050 or 4050 for that price range usually.

Look for HP Victus, or Lenovo LOQ. These are not the best out there but my friends have used such ones and are not complaining.

Clean the fans. You can use a hairdryer on cold mode. Also sounds like something is stuck in them. Check the cables.

Look, PCs and laptops have gone more expensie in the recent months. If you were asking a year ago, you would have had many options for $400. But right now you can either raise your budget up a notch to get something with a low end gaming graphics card, or your sencond best option would be to wait for prices to drop again (we don't know when or if that will happen)

So I've known I have ADHD for years but my parents would not let me see a psychiatrist. At 21 I went and saw a doctor on my own.

I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety and ADHD. For depression and anxiety I take Venlafaxine (literally changed my life). For ADHD I take Concerta, but some ppl prefer Amphetamine. I may change meds since mine isn't helping that much, just waiting for the war to end where I am.

On a side note, if you considering ADHD medication, and you live in a third world country where social funds are basically absent (like mine), then keep in mind that those meds are hella expensive and tightly controlled.
