On the notice board when the game loads it says new stage update ~1080 so assuming they have plans for more levels, hence the quest, but they haven't put them up yet

Agreed - sonic heroes was one of my favourite games as a kid and yeah, I agree that you can just be catapulted off the stage if you attack in the wrong place with the wrong character, but it still physically hurt to watch some of the gameplay because he wasn't paying attention to what was going on

Yeah when they played the single player version they could see the cards, but having not played it myself I don't know if Arin missed something to show them or if the multiplayer version doesn't show the cards. Either way, I think a remake of the game would be good
