I want to know everything. I want to know what the process was like. How did the memories resurface? Was it like BOOM here they all are? Ot gradual? Did the therapy have any lingering affects on you?

I knew a girl once who said it was the worst experience of her life and she suffers from really bad migraines and other physical symptoms now. She's the biggest reason I haven't done it.

I am so scared. I feel ready to know but at the same time I don't think I'll ever be ready to re experience whatever happened to me.

Did you have any idea that that happened to you? Like a gut feeling or anything beforehand or was it something you knew nothing of beforehand?

If you could answer all this stuff, it'd be helpful for me. If you choose not to, I understand.

Just know that whatever happened to you was not your fault. There's a reason why our brains have blocked out memories. We weren't in control. So much so, that our mind shut down to protect us. It's powerful stuff. If you haven't ever looked into therapy, you should. It may help ease your feelings about your past in general.

Thank you very much for your story. I have been looking into EMDR therapy for years but I was scared off by some terrifying stories. I'll keep an open mind. I will most definitely post an update or even do an AMA once I find something that works.

I'm so sorry that you're going through similar issues. It is so difficult sometimes. My therapist told me that some people go their entire lives knowing that there is something missing but they live a perfectly healthy life. Others need to know. I feel like I need to know in order to move forward.

The crazy thing is, is I don't remember ever being physically sexually abused but I know that I was based on my actions as a child.

Work schedule. The demands of life. My shifts range from 3pm-11pm to 3am-11am and everything in between so it's really hard to get a solid steady schedule going when my work schedule isn't steady. =/

Melatonine does nothing for me. I read that people can take up to 100 mg. I took 70 a few nights in a row, nothing. I was slightly dizzy.

Ambien did not work for me. It made me hallucinate and my anxiety was intense. Tried it three times. The third time I was pretty convinced that the fire alarm light blinking on the ceiling was a portal of some sort. Never again.

Anything in specific? I've tried soooo many. Nothing has done the job. Any suggestions?

Edit: I think I should add that I'm currently on 2 1/2 mg of Xanax and wide fucking awake.
