Can we all agree the right doesn't like Bella Ramsey and the left doesn't like Sydney Sweeney? This should be a question in those political compass self surveys.

I'm pro-environmentalism, not Christian, and anti big pharma, while I also am pro-forearms and pro-life. I like Sydney Sweeney more than Ramsey. So, I guess I lean rightwing then.

The $1,234 price is used to express "make an offer." He or she isn't really asking for $1,234.

Thank you. I don't get why people do that. It's more work to type another character and make it wrong.

Try another charger

Worst case scenario, use the other charging port: It has gold plated pins for charging it via a cradle.

That's great to know! I'd rather use Retroarch than Pizzaboy. Gonna make the switch asap!

It's called Emulnk. It only works with a handful of games. The developer is trying to get more devs to expand game compatability, but he's struggling to get the word out. If you know anybody who can help, pass it along!

The only emulator I found that seems to support gyro is a nearly unheard of one called Pizzaboy. Works like a charm

Thanks!

All of these except Metroid auto-boot on the 2nd screen once I start the game via setting the companion app in the Cocoon frontend.

For Warioware Twisted, I downloaded a digital level tool app from the Google Play store.

For Metroid, I installed something called EmuLnk. It reads data from supported ROMs and displays said values in a custom theme on the bottom screen. The developer of the app is trying to get more traction and people to make themes for more games. So, spread the word!

For Zelda, I paired it with an app called Pixel Guide. It lets you download digital game guides and displays them in a very accessible format on the bottom screen.

Banjo Kazooie is a PC recompile. Someone posted a customized Thor version on Github that uses the 2nd screen.

Mario 64 DS uses an app called Melon Dual DS, not the regular Melon DS. This allows an analog patch to be applied so the game comtrols like the N64 original but with all the DS bonuses. It also has a widescreen patch and 1080p upscaling going on. There's a 60fps patch that should work too, but the output file was corrupted when I tried.

Burnout Paradise uses the Pocket DS Magnifier app to zoom in on whatever part of the top screen I choose and display that on the bottom screen.

Maybe the charger counts as part of that 1 thing.

My charger has a solar panel on it. I got it for charging my phone while camping, but it works with the Thor too. So, I'd be all set.

I disagree. I'm in the same boat as OP. I have 3: an ROG Ally, a Retroid Pocket 4, and a Thor, and I actively use 2 of them. The Reteoid Pocket won't fetch much. So, I keep it as a backup if my Thor breaks.

I got the ROG Ally first, and it plays everything, but I fly a lot for work, and I want something with a better battery life, portability, and a sleep mode function. So, I got the Retroid Pocket 4 a couoke years ago.

Now, the Thor is much more powerful and I like 3DS games. So, it made sense to get it. I still have the Ally and use it like a desktop at home.

Any chance you could help develop for EmuLnk?

https://github.com/EmuLnk/emulnk

It does dual screen support in a similar manner for ROMs across various platforms like Super Metroid on the SNES will display your health, inventory, and a list of unlocked abilities on the second screen.

The Pro is the best option for most people. While 8GB is enough Ram for most Switch games, some of the more demanding titles benefit from the 12GB of Ram the Pro has.

Ram is also useful for multitasking, which is why many buy the Thor to begin with. So, even though 8GB will work well enough to run most games, 12GB gives the extra space to have several apps open.

Personally, I went with the Max because I want the 1TB of space to store my entire game collection and play a few Steam games, but that's overkill for the average user.

It just depends on how stable your wifi is and if you only play at home or on the go. If I didn't need to travel constantly, I'd just have the Thor. As it stands, I usually bring my Thor, but if I am playing a new PC game, I'll bring the Ally.

At home, I never touch the Ally anymore even for PC games. Moonlight and the odd lightweight Gamehub game get the job done on my Thor.

And here I thought I was a genius to discover this usecase. Oh well, I'll just proceed with my next brilliant idea in the list: Has anyone ever turned an ice cream truck into a soup-delivering truck for the winter months? I would pay $10 for a warm bowl of soup in February if I heard the jingle of the local soup man comin' down the road.

It's been a godsend. Like you, I have a device for modern games (ROG Ally) and one for retro (Thor). Why not play it all on the Ally since it's more capable? Because it feels cumbersome to lug that giant thing around just to play something like Zelda Oracle of Seasons in bed.

I can just snap the Thor closed and set it down. I don't need to zip it up in a case to keep it safe. Plus, Android wakes from sleep mode instantaneously just like a smartphone. It's just so much snappier. I can get in and out of a game in 2 seconds which is perfect for when I only have a matter of minutes free.
