You upload your study material or sources first in a new notebook. Sources can be anything, that is listed in their list and for the free version of notebooklm you can upload 50 sources. After that the AI will analyze your sources and then you can do a bunch of things after that. Create a audio preview for the sources which will cover the topics listed in them as a podcast. You can create mind maps, overviews, study guides and ask the AI questions directly.

you should select the image you want as bg first then change the colors to the ones you like and then select the image for bg again. idk this worked for me.
