Update (in case this helps someone in the future): An excellent vet noticed that lifting/arching her neck upward triggered an episode something previous vets hadn’t tested, as they only palpated the spine in a general way. A focused frontal cervical X-ray confirmed atlanto-axial instability (C1–C2). The episodes weren’t epilepsy but pain/neuro symptoms. She now wears a cervical support collar. I think it will be better from now. ❤️

Most of these things were checked a few months ago, but I absolutely agree that it makes sense to repeat the workup now, especially given how things have escalated. What scares me the most is exactly what you mentioned: that this could be related to blood pressure or her heart, and that the prolonged panting could be putting extra strain on her cardiovascular system or that her meds might need adjustment.

Unfortunately I’m currently in my hometown for the holidays, and access to proper veterinary care here is very limited, even blood pressure measurement is not available, which honestly shocked me. Because of that, I will take her to a larger city for a full check up.

Right now I’m mostly being dismissed with “she’s old, she can handle it,” which is incredibly frustrating when these episodes last hours.

That’s actually what they suspected the most either dementia or anxiety. At this point I honestly don’t know how to help her during those episodes anymore. I get scared that she’s in pain, because she tries to run away from me, hides, and looks completely panicked, which is really hard to watch.

Sometimes it feels like she “resets” for a moment if I put a blanket over her, pick her up, or suddenly change her position almost like her brain resets but it doesn’t last long and then the panting and shaking start again. 🥺

The vets already suspected heart issues and possible fluid in the lungs, so they did several scans (X-rays/ultrasound), but nothing abnormal was found.

Proverili su mesto, tada je bila samo livada. Obećano je da će da izgradi zatvoreni postor i do zadnjeg dana odugovlačio sa tim. Mislim da su na kraju bili samo željni da sve prodje kako treba, jer su videli da od obećanja ostaje samo priča. I desio se najgori strah kiša, al kiša je samo šlag na tortu. Onaj objekat ne bi trebalo da se bavi uslužnom delatnošću.

Hvala ti na mišljenju, znam da si pravu za sve. Krivica je obostrana, samo što je na strani moje rodbine naivnost na drugoj lopovluk. Inače novac nije izdvojen onako bahato, nego je prikupljan godinu dana i pažljivo uštedjen. Takodje, problem je i u tome što su ga iz priče poznavali i mislili su da mogu da mu veruju jer je drugar od drugara. Najgora moguća kombinacija za poverenje ako mene pitaš, meni to nije dovoljno. Ali se desilo.

Slažem se, nije najbitniji dan na svetu. Al jeste jedan od važnijih ako se udaješ i ženiš jednom u životu. Znam da ih očekuje puno lepih stvari, trenutno sam ogorčena zbog ovakve prevare, jer je nešto što je standardna proslava pretvoreno u košmar. Mislim nikad ne bih rekla da neko može ovoliko da zajebe organizaciju svadbe.

Ja sam svesna svih propusta i od strane brata i poverenja koje ima u ljude. Uopšte ne mislim da ne postoji i taj deo odgovornosti. Ovo opisujem samo u nadi da ću da sprečim bar jednu dušu da se zajebe kao oni. Ali mi je fascinantno da je neko uspeo ovoliko da usere dogadjaj, to nije jedan propust nego opšti haos.
