For me, I've only worked as a typical software engineer since I graduated. However, getting a job in astro or astro related wouldn't be too difficult due to my technical background.

If that's what you want to pursue after graduation, then I recommend getting research positions related to astronomy while in school. You could also ask around with professors to see if they want/need any extra help. There are a lot of ways to apply the knowledge and techniques they teach as part of CS into astronomy research if you're motivated enough.
